CLIMATE CHANGE (GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS) REGULATIONS 2012

Notice

I, MATTHEW GUY GROOM, for the purposes of section 6 of the Climate Change (Greenhouse Gas Emissions) Regulations 2012, give notice of Tasmania's baseline figure and reduction in greenhouse gas emissions for the financial year ending 30 June 2014.

The total reported carbon dioxide equivalent emissions for Tasmania in the baseline year ending 30 June 1990 were 18.51 mega-tonnes. Reported carbon dioxide equivalent emissions

for the year ending 30 June 2014 totalled 1.56 mega-tonnes.

This represents an overall reduction in net emissions of approximately 16.95 mega-tonnes or 92 per cent from 1989-90 levels.
