1. Short title

These by-laws may be cited as the Marine and Safety (Fees) Amendment By-laws 2013.

2. Commencement



In these by-laws, the Marine and Safety (Fees) By-laws 2010 are referred to as the Principal By-laws.


Clause 3 of the Principal By-laws is amended as follows:

(a) by omitting from subclause (1) the definition of "travel costs";

(b) by omitting subclause (2).

5. Clause 4 substituted

Clause 4 of the Principal By-laws is rescinded and the following clause is substituted:

The fees in relation to -

(a) the Marine and Safety (Moorings) By-Laws 2008 are specified in Schedule I to these by-laws; and

Clause 3 of the Principal By-laws is amended by inserting the following definitions after the definition of berthing area:

certificate of operation means a certificate of operation issued under the National Law;

certificate of survey means a certificate of survey issued under the National Law;

This proclamation fixes 2 September 2013 as the day on which the provisions of the Marine Safety (Domestic Commercial Vessel National Law Application) Consequential Amendments Act 2013 commence.

(3) Proclamation under section 2 of the National Energy Retail Law (Tasmania) (Consequential Amendments) Act 2012

This proclamation fixes 28 August 2013 as the day on which the remaining provision of the National Energy Retail Law (Tasmania) (Consequential Amendments) Act 2012 commences.

(4) Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Amendment (Concession Eligibility) Regulations 2013

These regulations amend the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Regulations 2010 to afford an eligible asylum seeker the same rebates and concessions as a pensioner under those regulations.
