Approved Use of the Title 'Honourable'THE prefix 'Honourable' is conferred upon certain Office Holders on appointment.Those entitled to use the prefix are—

Ministers of the Crown and by reason of appointment to the Executive Council and being sworn to Office.

Judges of the Supreme Court of Tasmania upon being sworn to Office.

Associate Judges of the Supreme Court of Tasmania upon being sworn to Office.

The Presiding Officers of the Parliament (President of the Legislative Council and Speaker of the House of Assembly) upon their election to Office.

Legislative Councillors whilst they hold Office.The Leader of the Opposition, whilst holding that office in

the House of Assembly.

Retention of the title 'Honourable' upon resignation or retirement from Office

The retention of the title following resignation or retirement may be authorised by the Governor of Tasmania on the recommendation of the Premier.The qualifications and procedures follow.

Qualifications for grant of the Prefix 'Honourable' for lifeAfter resignation or retirement from Office, members of the Executive Council (Ministers of the Crown), and Judges and Associate Judges of the Supreme Court of Tasmania are entitled to apply for the grant to retain the title for life.This Includes—

A Minister who loses his seat in Parliament at a General Election.

A Minister who belongs to a Government which is defeated at a General Election and now sits In the Opposition.

Presiding Officers of the Parliament (President of the Legislative Council, Speaker of the House of Assembly) may apply for the grant provided they have served for three years on a continuous basis.

Legislative Councillors and Leaders of the Opposition, upon retirement or resignation shall not be eligible to apply for the grant unless they have served as a Minister of the Crown or for three continuous years as the Presiding Officer of the Legislative Council or House of Assembly.

Procedures for application for and approval of the GrantAfter resignation or retirement from office, Ministers of the Crown, Judges and Associate Judges of the Supreme Court of Tasmania may apply to the Premier for consideration for the grant to retain the title.After resignation or retirement from office Parliamentary Presiding Officers, who have served a period in office of three years, may apply to the Premier for consideration for the grant to retain the title.

GOVERNMENT BUSINESS ENTERPRISES ACT 1995

nOtiCe Of transfer

I, PETER CARL GUTWEIN, Treasurer, for the purposes of section l0A of the Government Business Enterprises Act 1995, give notice of the transfer of the assets listed in Schedule 1 of this notice by Transend Networks Pty Ltd ACN 082 586 892 to Tasmanian Railway Pty Ltd ACN 139 383 761, subject to the terms, conditions and limitations contained in this notice.

1 Definitions

"Asset" has the meaning given to that term in the Government Business Enterprises Act 1995.

"Transfer day" means the date referred to in clause 2 of this notice.

"State" means the State of Tasmania, being the owner of Transend Networks and Tasmanian Railway.

2 Transfer day

The assets are transferred on 15 May 2014.

3 Consideration

(a) For the purposes of section l (3) of schedule lA of the Government Business Enterprises Act 1995, the assets are transferred by Transend Networks to Tasmanian Railway for nil consideration.

(b) For the avoidance of doubt, the transfer under this transfer notice must be recorded in the financial accounts as follows:

(i) in the case of Tasmanian Railway, as a contribution by the State; and

(ii) in the case of Transend Networks, as a distribution to the State.

FOR the purposes of Regulation 106(2) of the Retirement Benefits Regulations 2005, I hereby notify that, based upon advice received from the State Actuary, I have approved an amendment to the employer component of a benefit paid under these regulations.

I declare that the employer component of a benefit, as prescribed in Regulation 106(1) of the Retirement Benefits Regulations 2005, is to be 78.5 per cent.

I further declare that this notice is to take effect as from 1 July 2014.

ALTERATION OF THE CONSTITUTION

NOTICE is hereby given under section 67(2) of the Constitution of the Anglican Church of Australia that

WHEREAS on 22 September 2010 the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Australia duly made Canon No. 12 of 2010 being the Constitution Amendment (Chapter V) Canon 2010 to alter the Constitution of the Anglican Church of Australia by inserting section 28A therein

AND WHEREAS on 18 March 2014 the President of the General Synod, the Most Rev’d Dr Philip Aspinall, Archbishop of Brisbane and Metropolitan of the Province of Queensland, determined that there is no condition and that no condition remains to which the coming into effect of the said Canon is subject

THE SAID PRESIDENT determined that the said Canon shall come into effect on 1 July 2014.
