The website is hosted by a Server of Osservatorio Vesuviano Section of INGV and it was built up and developed by the “Working Group on WEB development” composed of:

The web site of UPSTrat-MAFA EU Project has been developed since March 2012, as required by Deliverable I3.1, at the address:



Some technical issues:

the website is developed using Joomla, a free CMS (Content Management System) written in PHP which uses object-oriented programming(OOP) techniques and stores data in a MySQL/MS SQL database.

Joomla can be customized with several plugins and modules in order to satisfy almost every need.

The site have a public section, which can be viewed by everyone, and a registered section accessible by registered users only (Partners of the Project).

The download section and a Forum (Kunena module) are in the registered section only.



The site is structured in four main sections and several subsections

The public section of web site presents well-structured contents regarding the Project features and contains all the public documentation on Tasks, Deliverables, Partners and Target Groups



In the news section are available the files and information about the Activities, the Meetings and the Newsletter of the Project

Here an example of contributions to the 15th WCEE (World Congress on Engineering Education-2012)



In the Deliverables section are actually available the Leaflet (downloadable ad PDF document) and links to videos of activities related to Disaster-prevention strategies.



The registered section of the website gain access to the Forum. The structure is very articulated and consists of the following main sections:

The FORUM is a largely used tool which gives great opportunities to share documents, information and ideas to all the Partners of the Project.



The Back End section (accessible by Administrator only) gives several infos on access statistics of the web site.



The registered section give the opportunity to registered user to access to the Files Repository which contain resources and documents useful for the Project Partners.



The future developments of UPStrat-MAFA website are aimed to best collect all the products and the deliverables from the work of Project Partners and to be the place where we can publish any media content designed to disseminate the obtained results.
