MEET RALPH DELBYRalph Delby, 90 years young, resident with his wifeVirginia, of Presence Bethlehem Woods helps to spreadthe word about Aging Well Month 2017 with this large-scale version of the new logo and tagline. He hasbeen an artist his whole life. He retired in 1987 after asuccessful career with Leo Burnett and was a nationallyacclaimed commercial artist, graphic designer and artdirector. Ralph was pleased to be pictured on the frontof the 2017 Aging Well Month Calendar to encourageall older adults to stay active in retirement…it isa great way to age well.

AGING WELL MONTH is now in its 5th year and estimating over 500 older adults willparticipate in the series of programs, events and activities planned in May, which isrecognized nationally as Older Americans Month. The month-long celebration kicks offwith a state proclamation presented at the Community GEMs (Going the Extra Mile)Recognition Luncheon on May 2, 2017. At this luncheon, older adults from the Lyons,Proviso and Riverside townships will be acknowledged for their volunteer work and thepositive impact they have made in the community. For the total list of honorees see page 7.

The Aging Well Month celebration offers engaging, educational, social and fun programsand activities held at various locations throughout the area and are hosted by communityorganizations and companies that have an interest in the health and well-being of olderadults. This calendar is your guide to these events. Please look it over and mark yourcalendar for those you wish to attend!

MEET RALPH DELBYRalph Delby, 90 years young, resident with his wifeVirginia, of Presence Bethlehem Woods helps to spreadthe word about Aging Well Month 2017 with this large-scale version of the new logo and tagline. He hasbeen an artist his whole life. He retired in 1987 after asuccessful career with Leo Burnett and was a nationallyacclaimed commercial artist, graphic designer and artdirector. Ralph was pleased to be pictured on the frontof the 2017 Aging Well Month Calendar to encourageall older adults to stay active in retirement…it isa great way to age well.

AGING WELL MONTH is now in its 5th year and estimating over 500 older adults willparticipate in the series of programs, events and activities planned in May, which isrecognized nationally as Older Americans Month. The month-long celebration kicks offwith a state proclamation presented at the Community GEMs (Going the Extra Mile)Recognition Luncheon on May 2, 2017. At this luncheon, older adults from the Lyons,Proviso and Riverside townships will be acknowledged for their volunteer work and thepositive impact they have made in the community. For the total list of honorees see page 7.

The Aging Well Month celebration offers engaging, educational, social and fun programsand activities held at various locations throughout the area and are hosted by communityorganizations and companies that have an interest in the health and well-being of olderadults.
