Social Studies: Market and money
~Mrs. Hall’s Second grade class
Subject – 2nd Grade Social StudiesTopic – Economics - MarketsObjective – Students will be able to explain how
people buy and sell goods and services using money.Procedure – A “virtual market” will allow students to shop for goods.Evaluation – A quiz will tests student’s knowledge of the concept of buying goods and services.Materials – Students will be given virtual money and a virtual shopping list.
Lesson:
Goods - Things that are sold or things that someone owns, as in leather goods or household goods.
Money– The coins and bills that people use to buy things.
Important Terms:Market – A place where people buy and sell food or goods.
