I am delighted to be returning to New Jersey again this June to once again join with Everything Health in leading a two-day meeting exploring the key trends impacting the North American self care landscape.

With Switch going very quiet, and the industry waiting to see what will happen with Voltaren and the various ED drugs, there is a real need for marketers to Innovate. CBD products have begun to impact the market despite technically still being prohibited by the FDA, yet recreational cannabis now legalised in Canada and some US states, adjacencies are a key area marketers can explore to open new paths to innovation.

There has also been an explosion of new medical devices allowing multiple possibilities to do just that, and one of the key channels for Innovation is through digital health.

After briefly working in semiconductor research, Stephen moved into electrical engineering, first with Agilent Technologies and then with Teledyne, where he managed the applications engineering group. Stephen is known among the Colorado extraction community and beyond for creating an ongoing dialogue on the optimization of lab operations and the importance of regulatory standards. Stephen grew up in the suburbs of New york City and graduated from SUNy Buffalo, cum laude, with a bachelor’s degree in physics.

DAVIDSPANGLERSeniorVicePresident,Policy,andGeneralCounsel&Secretary,CHPADavid Spangler directs CHPA's legal affairs and international affairs, and oversees association policy initiatives. He has particular expertise in regulatory matters.

Spangler joined CHPA in 1984 as a legislative analyst. He subsequently served in a number of roles for the association in the president's office, project management, international affairs, and, after completing law school in 1995, the association's legal department. Spangler was named a vice president in 1997, and a senior vice president in 2006. His responsibilities were expanded to include the legal function in 2011.
