Living a Vision
In September of 2012,
Coach Chuck Pagano of the
Indianapolis Colts was
diagnosed with leukemia.
During his treatment,
Coach Pagano made an
inspirational locker room
speech about living in
vision and not in
consequence. He lived a
vision of seeing his
daughters dance at their
wedding, while lifting the
superbowl trophy with his
team. He refused to let his
leukemia diagnosis define
him or overcome his
dreams.
The principals espoused by
Coach Pagano during his
locker room speech can
easily help us overcome the
difficulties of training and
raising “mission fuel”.
1. Live in a vision of
reaching your training
and fundraising goals.
2. Position yourself for
success by keeping a
positive outlook.
3. Create solutions to
daily challenges. Do
not let obstacles
define you.
4. Gain inspiration from
the strength and
courage of our
honored hero, Kaleb.
Last week, just two
days after treatment,
he rode 6 miles on his
bike while his parents
trained for Disney.

Someday is Today: LLS Advocacy Blog Patient Services Manager, Michael Grignon, has been busy at work! Michael has been racking his brain trying to figure out a way to give our chapter knowledge about patient services and advocacy in an easy to understand way. As we know, some of this information can fly right over our heads with all the big words and lengthy terms. So, Michael has created a blog! Why Michael wanted to create this blog:
1. Because we need our own “space” to further enhance our internal and
external messaging 2. Because this is interactive and providers another means for engaging
(current and new) stakeholders 3. Because you (and others) need to be able to access this information on
demand Visit http://llsadvocacyunyvt.wordpress.com/ to check it out!
Chris Moore to Receive Triple Crown
Are You Doing Anything on Sunday?
Chris Moore will be
heading to Lake George
tonight to complete the
Peak Season Century
Ride tomorrow.
Prior to this weekend,
Chris has completed the
Adirondack ½ Marathon
and the Philadelphia
Triathlon. Once he
crosses the finish line
tomorrow he will join an
elite group of Team In
Training athletes and
officially be a Triple
Crown recipient.
Chris has completed
many other endurance
events over the past few
years and is the team
captain for the Team In
Training inspired Ragnar
Teams. This group
donates to Team In
Training participants
for each event they do.
Thank you Chris for
everything you have
done for the LLS and
the team! Have a great
ride tomorrow. We’ll
be cheering you on the
whole way.
Congratulations!!!
It’s not too late to join your teammates at the Mohawk Hudson River Marathon water stop on Sunday. This will be at mile 10 of the half marathon and mile 23 of the full marathon.
This group has won “Best Water Stop” the past two years and received a $500 price both times. This year, any fundraising participant who comes out to cheer on local runners, will
get a piece of the pie WHEN Team In Training wins this award again! If you are able to join the group please e-mail Angelique or Linda at [email protected] or [email protected]

For sales after that, the second round will be picked up on December 13th (just in time for the holidays!).
