    America's Most WantedSex Trafficking Special

Lifetime TV Network to Air a Two-Hour "America's Most Wanted"Special on Sex Trafficking on Friday, February 24 th .

On the heels of last weeks capture of a mother who allegedly made money selling her children for sex, host John Walsh takes on a fast-growing criminal industry by profiling individuals wanted in connection with rampant spread of modern-day slavery.

Please check your local TV listings, for the Lifetime Channel, which is set to air a two hour special edition of its crime fighting series "Americas Most Wanted" . The show will focus on the rampant global problem of sex trafficking on Friday, February 24th, at 9:00pm ET/PT. Hosted by John Walsh, the special will take on one of the most illicit and overlooked crimes known to affect millions of women and children in the U.S. and across the globe. The special comes on the heels of last weeks capture of a Georgia mother featured on the December 16 episode of "Americas Most Wanted" for allegedly selling her two young daughters for sex.

Walsh will profile numerous individuals alleged to be responsible for some of the worlds most shocking cases involving the sex trafficking of people, including many foreign victims who are lured into moving to the U.S. under false pretenses and then forced into brutal, horrifying lives

of prostitution from which they have little chance of escape.

Of all the people wanted for the most heinous crimes you could ever imagine, those involved in sex trafficking are some of the worst kinds of individuals ever to exist, said Walsh. They need to be stopped immediately!

According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, more than 100,000 minors are estimated to be in the commercial sex trade in the U.S.

To report a tip or connect with anti trafficking services in your area, call The National Human Trafficking Resource Center at 888 373 7888.

Each week during the Lenten Season we will be bringing you reflections written by the Missionary Sisters so that we may

    journey together in prayer.

For the first Sunday in Lent, our reflection is offered by Sr.Bernadette Casciano, MSC

Reflection for the First Sunday of Lent February 26, 2012

Lent is here and once more we hear the familiar words Repent, and believe the good news. The readings for this Sunday reflect Gods concern and love for us. The first reading with Noah and the final days in the ark end with a rainbow as Gods reminder to us of the sacred shared covenant. The Gospel reflects Jesus testing in the desert. Jesus was given the opportunity to show how total was his love for God.

As we move forward into the Lenten season we are given ample opportunity to show how much each of us loves God. Our daily mission is to be faithful to our promises and to challenge ourselves to change habits that may harm others, harm the environment, or harm Gods creatures. Building our awareness of what is around us helps us to deal with the day to day happenings and provides us with many opportunities to show and express our love for God. It is the lived reality of our sacred shared covenant.

To repent and believe the good news is a challenge and an opportunity for us each and every day in the Lenten Season to enhance our daily commitment and involvement in our love affair with God. Happy Season of Lent. ~ Sr. Bernadette Casciano, MSC

    Convert your heart during Lent

    5

When we were young Catholics, Lent meant giving up something and welcoming it back at Easter. Now we know that Lent is so much more. Lent is about conversion. Each year we have a chance to leave behind old ways of living to embrace new life.

The goal is not just to abstain from sin during Lent but to root it out of our lives forever. The moment of truth. Conversion begins with accepting responsibility for our failures. Start by taking an honest look at your life and identify all the ways that sin keeps you from living the way that Jesus taught us to live.

Know it may take courage to face your shortfalls.

The moment of cleansing . There can be no healing or

conversion until you confess your wrongdoings during the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Dont worry if you have been

away for a while. The moment of conversion.

There cant be just one moment of conversion. It is necessary to

convert our hearts every day. Daily prayer, frequent

confession, and regular reception of the Holy Eucharist

will fill our hearts with Gods love. Then we can embrace new

    life at Easter. Success Publishing
