Sultan-ul-Hind Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti San-

jari (radi Allahu anhu) popularly known as Khwaja

Ghareeb Nawaaz (The Benefactor of the Poor) was the

founder of the Chistiya Order of Sufis in India. He is one of the most outstanding figures in the history of Islamic Mysti-

cism.

The Chistiya Silsila is one of the most popular and influen-

tial mystic orders in Islam. It de-rives its name from Chist, a village near Herat, where the real founder of the Order,

Khwaja Abu Ishaq (radi Allahu anhu) of Syria, settled. Haz-

rat Khwaja Moiinuddin Chisti (radi Allahu anhu) brought the Silsila to India at the close of the 11th century A.D. and

established its centre in Ajmer, whence the order spread far

and wide in India and became a force in the spiritual life of

the Muslims. Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti Sanjari (radi Allahu anhu)

was born in 536 A.H./1141 A.D. in Sijistan (Persia) and was

the direct descen-dent of a noble family coming down in direct lineage of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu

alaihi wasallam). He was a Hasani and a Husaini Sayed. He

was brought up in Khorasan and received his early educa-tion at home from his father, Hadrat Sayed Gheyasuddin

(radi Allahu anhu). At the age of 9, he committed the Holy

Quran to memory.

After the demise of his father, he inherited a grinding stone and a garden, which formed a source of his livelihood. From

an early age he loved the company of saints, mystics and der

-vishes. The persistent sacks and destruction of Khorasan (including Sijistan) by the hordes of Ghuzz tribe of the bar-

barous Tartars proved to be a turning point of his life at the

early age of 14. Fired by overwhelming human passion, he was divinely inspired to renounce the world at this early age.

Distributing all his worldly belongings to the poor, he went

to Bokhara and Samarqand to join the famous Nizamia Uni-

versities there for his theological education. He completed his academic courses brilliantly in 5 years.

In order to quench his spiritual thirst, he left Iraq for Arabia and on his return from there he undertook a journey to a

place called Harwan or Haroon. He became a mureed of

Hazrat Khwaja Uthman Harooni (radi Al-lahu anhu), a great

Sufi mystic of his time. Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti (radi Al-lahu anhu) remained in the ocompany of his Peer-O

-Murshid and travelled with him car-rying his Murshid's be-

longings on his head. They travelled to Mecca, Medina, Iraq, Syria, Samarqand, Afghanistan, etc. meet-ing many great

saints.

While they were in Mecca, Hazrat Khwaja Uthman Harooni (radi Allahu anhu) took Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti

(radi Al-lahu anhu) to the Holy Kaaba and made Du'a for

him and a voice was heard declar-ing : "We have accepted

Mu'inuddin as one of our beloved devotees." In Medina Shareef, while in the Darbar of Sayyiduna Rasulullah (sallal

laahu alaihi wasallam), Hazrat Khwaja Uthman

Harooni (radi Al-lahu anhu) instructed Hazrat

Khwaja Mu'inuddin Chisti (radi Allahu anhu) to offer

his homage and salutations respect-fully. In doing so,

a voice was heard saying, "Wa Alaikumus Salaam

Ya Qutbul Mashaa'ikh-e-bahr-o-bar (Peace be

upon you also, O, the Head of the Pious of the earth

and the sea)." On hearing this his Peer-O-Murshid

said to him, "Now indeed you have reached perfec-

tion."

After full 20 years hard training in Islamic mysticism

under this great Peer-O-Murshid, Hazrat Khwaja

Moinuddin (radi Allahu anhu) was bestowed with

Khilafat in the Chistiya Silsila. His Murshid, after

advis-ing him, handed over his Asa Mubarak (Sacred

Staff), wooden sandals and Mus-allah to Hazrat

Khwaja Moinuddin (radi Allahu anhu) saying that

those Tabbaru-kaats have come down from Sayy-

iduna Rasulullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) in suc-

cession.

In 583 A.H. when he was absorbed in prayer at the

Holy Kaaba, he heard a voice saying, "O Moinud-

din! We are greatly pleased with you. You have

been given salvation. Ask for anything that you

may like." He submitted respectfully, "O Allah,

give salvation to the followers and disciples of

Moinuddin." A reply was heard, "O Moinuddin,

you are ac-cepted by Us. I will give salvation to

your followers and disci-ples and also to those who

may enter your fold till the Day of Qayamat." Af-

ter performing the Hajj, he was once again di-vinely

inspired from Medina Shareef to go to Ajmer (India)

to preach Islam: "O Moinuddin, you are the Helper

of my relig-ion. I entrust to you the country of

Hindustan (India). Pro-ceed to Ajmer and spread

the gospel of truth." Not knowing where Ajmer was

situated, the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasal-

lam) came in Hazrat Khwaja Saheb's (radi Allahu

anhu) dream and showed him where the city of Ajmer

was situated.

On his way to Ajmer and passing through Afghani-

stan, Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti's (radi Allahu

anhu) spiritual impact con-verted the notorious and

cruel Yadgar Muhammad into one of Haz-rat Khwaja

Mzinuddin's (radi Allahu anhu) devoted Mureeds.

Yadgar Muhammad did not previously recognise and

respect the first three Caliphs of Islam; neither had he

any respect for Sufis nor for any holy saints. Now,

Page 3: This is issued monthly by The FIKR-E-RAZA Organization in ...fikreraza.org/newsletter/english/june-2012.pdf · This is issued monthly by The FIKR-E-RAZA Organization in Cairo, Egypt

(radi Allahu anhu). In Delhi, Hadrat Khwaja Moinuddin

(radi Allahu anhu) started delivering his sermons and

discourses in a soft lan-guage dipped in honey attracting

thousands of Hindus and Muslims. But he had his sights

on Ajmer, which had been away from the light of learn-

ing and guidance. He wanted the city of Ajmer to be the

centre of learning, teaching and spiritual activities.

Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti (radi Allahu anhu)

reached Ajmer with about 40 followers in the year 587

A.H. Here he received fierce opposition from the ruler

of Ajmer, Raja Pritvi Raj. He did nothing to antagonize

the Hindu ruler. His mission was simply that of love and

learning, purity and guidance. In a short time, the entire

area was filled with the truth of unity of Allah. Men and

women in thousands took the oath of allegiance on his

hands.

But this large-scale conversion to Islam displeased the

Hindu ruler and he started putting the Muslims to hard-

ships. Pritvi Raj sent Ajai Pal and Sadhu Ram, who

were magicians, to destroy Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin

Chisti (radi Allahu anhu) with black magic, but they

failed on every try. Ajai Pal and Sadhu Ram were so

much impressed by Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti

(radi Allahu anhu) that they accepted Islam and became

his devoted Mureeds.

A great Muslim army general, Sha-

habuddin Ghouri, who was in

Khorasan, saw Hazrat Khwaja

Moinuddin Chisti (radi Allahu

anhu) in a dream who in-

structed the general, "It has

been ordained by Allah that

you shall be the ruler of In-

dia. Direct your attention

soon and arrest Pritvi Raj

and punish him." Acting

upon this instruction, Sha-

habuddin Ghouri came to India

to face the army of Pritvi Raj. The

Muslim general and the small band of

Muslim army, encountering fierce oppo-

sition, eventually defeated the Hindu army and

went to Ajmer to pay homage to Hazrat Khwaja

Moinuddin Chisti (radi Allahu anhu) and become his

Mureed.

Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti (radi Allahu anhu)

was an em-bodiment of plain living and high thinking.

His noble disposition, his marvelous self-control, his

renunciation, self abnegation, self-less service, his pa-

tience, his love, fortitude and courage earned for him the

respect from his admirers and devotees. He passed his

days in Almighty Allah's remembrance. He was free

from avarice and greed. He had no lust for power, no

wish for name and fame, and no desire for wealth. He

sought only the pleasure of Allah and His Rasool (sallal

laahu alaihi wasallam). He was deeply loved by his Peer

-O-Murshid, who used to say, "Our Moinuddin is a

beloved of Allah and I feel proud of the fact that

he is my disciple. He followed the Holy Prophet

(sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) very faithfully in

his day-to-day life. The fear of Allah ever domi-

nated his mind." Hazrat Khwaja Qutbuddin Bakhti-

yar Kaki (radi Allahu anhu) says: “that he never

saw a beggar or any needy leaving his door with-

out taking something - one of his popular titles of

"Ghareeb Nawaaz" (Lover of the Poor).

Although Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti (radi

Allahu anhu) did not know the language of Hindu-

stan because he spoke Persian, he converted about

nine and a half million into the folds of Islam. Haz-

rat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti (radi Allahu anhu) did

not conquer India with his sword but with love. The

Sama mehfils of his proved as a cementing force for

the spread of Islam and brought the people together.

Sheik Mu'inuddin Ibn Arabi, Hadrat Fariduddin At-

tar, Hadrat Shams-Tabriz and Moulana Jalaluddin

Rumi (radi Allahu anhum ajma'in) were all contem-

poraries of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti (radi

Allahu anhu).

On the 14th of Jamad-us Thani 627 A.H., Khwaja

Saheb (radi Allahu anhu) bestowed the Khilafat

upon Hazrat Khwaja Qut-buddin Bakhti-

yar Kaki (radi Allahu anhu).

On Monday, 6th Rajab in 627

A.H. (1236 A.D.), after the

night prayers, Hazrat

Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti

(radi Allahu anhu) went

into his room and did

not allow anybody to

enter. When the door

remained closed at the

time of Morning Prayer,

his devotees opened the

door and found that Hazrat

Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti

(radi Allahu anhu) passed away.

On his blessed forehead was written:

"He was the beloved of Allah, and he

died in the Love of Allah."Since his demise on this

auspicious day an annual Urs Mubarak is cele-

brated every year as a mark of reverence and hom-

age.

Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti's (radi Allahu

anhu) Mazaar Shareef is in Ajmer Shareef and thou-

sands of people assemble there every day to pay re-

spects to the greatest saint of the Chistiya Silsila. webistes :

Lailatul Me‟raj is the night in which Rasoolullah

(Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ascended to the heavens

and beyond to meet his Rabb. It is a miracle that was

not granted to anyone else before nor will it be granted

to anyone in the future. Below is a brief description of

the events surrounding and including the Me‟raj

Shareef.

Allah Ta‟ala states in the Holy Qur‟an: “Holy is He

Who carried His bondsman by night from the Sacred

Mosque to the Aqsa Mosque around which We have

put blessings that We may show him Our grand signs.

No doubt, He is the All-Hearing and the All-

Seeing.” [Surah 17, Verse 1]

In this verse the Physical Me‟raj of Rasoolullah

(Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) is discussed, which took

place in the 11th year of Prophethood, during the latter

part of the 27th night of Rajab in a total state of wake-

fulness. Many Me‟raj in the form of dreams had taken

place before and after this great event. If this verse re-

ferred to a dream it would not have commenced with,

“Holy is He Who carried His bondsman” because this

is an expression used to describe an incredibly unique

incident. Allah Ta‟ala invited His Beloved Messenger

(Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) to the heavens and the

Throne of Almighty Allah to show him those symbols

and signs about which all the previous Prophets had

just heard e.g. seeing Almighty Allah with the physical

eyes, the Throne of Allah Ta‟ala, the Divine Chair, the

Divine Tablet and Pen, Paradise, Hell etc. so that the

testimony of the other Prophets regarding these would

be based on what is heard and that of our Beloved Ra-

sool (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) on what is seen.

[Tafseer Noorul Irfaan] Prior to the Me‟raj, the inhabi-

tants of Makkah would not have Imaan. They had been

persecuting the Muslims very much. They had gone too

far and had already begun torturing the Muslims. It was

one year before the migration to Madina Shareef and

Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi

Wasallam) was 52 years old. Taking Hazrat Zayd bin

Haarisa (Radiallahu Ta‟ala Anh) he went to Ta‟if. He

preached the inhabitants of Ta‟if for one month, but

none would have Imaan.

They mocked him and tortured him, and the children

pelted stones at him, eventually making his blessed

body bleed. The few months that he spent in Makkah

were very troublesome. He eventually went to the dis-

trict of Abu Talib where the house of Ummi Haani,

his uncle‟s daughter, was. At the time Ummi Haani had

not yet become Muslim but she accepted Rasoolul-

lah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) as her guest, say-

ing that she would sacrifice her life for such a true,

trustworthy, honourable and noble guest as him.

That day, Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasal-

lam) was hurt very much during the day.

Performing ablution, he began to entreat his Allah,

and pray so that the people would have Imaan and

attain happiness. Being very tired, hungry and

sorry, he lay down on his mat and soon fell asleep.

At that moment Allah Ta‟ala commanded to Haz-

rat Jibra'eel (Alaihis Salaam), “I have bothered my

beloved Prophet so much. I have hurt his blessed

body, his tender heart so much.

But he still entreats Me. He does not think of any-

thing besides Me. Go! Bring Me My beloved!

Show him My paradise and hell. Let him see the

blessings I have prepared for those who love him.

Let him see the torments I have prepared for those

who disbelieve him, who hurt him with their

words, writings and actions. I will console him. I

will cure the wounds of his tender heart.” Within a

moment Hazrat Jibra'eel (Alaihis Salaam) was near

Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and he

found him sleeping soundly. He did not have the

heart to prod him to wake him up so he kissed un-

der the blessed foot of Rasoolullah (Sallallahu

Alaihi Wasallam).

see the blessings I have prepared for those who

love him. Let him see the torments I have prepared

for those who disbelieve him, who hurt him with

their words, writings and actions. I will console

him. I will cure the wounds of his tender heart.”

Within a moment Hazrat Jibra'eel (Alaihis Salaam)

was near Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)

and he found him sleeping soundly. He did not

have the heart to prod him to wake him up so he

kissed under the blessed foot of Rasoolullah

(Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam).

Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) woke

up, at once recognized Hazrat Jibra'eel (Alaihis

Salaam), and fearing that Almighty Allah might

have gotten offended with him, he said, “O Ji-

bra'eel, Why have you come here at such an un-

usual time? Have I done something wrong, have I

offended my Allah?” Subhaanallah! What humility

and fear of Allah Ta‟ala Rasoolullah (Sallallahu

Alaihi Wasallam) possessed.

Page 5: This is issued monthly by The FIKR-E-RAZA Organization in ...fikreraza.org/newsletter/english/june-2012.pdf · This is issued monthly by The FIKR-E-RAZA Organization in Cairo, Egypt

after meeting Hazrat Khwaja Saheb (radi Allahu anhu),

Yadgar Muhammad repented and distrib-uted his wealth

to the poor and needy, divorced his many wives, freed

all his slaves and renounced the world. He stayed and

travelled with his Murshid.

Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti (radi Allahu anhu)

proceeded to Delhi via Fort Shadman, Multan, Lahore

and Samana. At Lahore, he stayed for 40 days that the

Ma-zaar Shareef of Hadrat Data Ganje Baksh - Hadrat

Ali Hujweri

Hazrat Jibra'eel (Alaihis Salaam) said, “O you the high-

est of all creatures! O you the beloved of the Creator! O

you the master of the Prophets! O you the honourable

Prophet, the source of goodness and superiorities! Your

Allah sends His Salaam to you. He bestows upon you

the blessing which He has given to no other Prophet, to

no other creature. He invites you to Himself. Please get

up. Let us go.” He performed ablution and they went to

the Ka‟bah Shareef where Shaqqe-Sadr (Opening of the

chest) occurred. Angels came and cleaved open his

chest, took out his heart, washed it with the water of

Zam-Zam, filled it with Noor and wisdom, and placed it

back to its prior form. (The opening of the chest had oc-

curred on three other occasions prior to this) He then

mounted a white heavenly animal called the Buraaq and

they went to Masjid-ul-Aqsa in a moment, where he led

all the Ambiya present in two rakaats of Nafl Salaah.

[Tafseer Roohul Bayaan] After the Salaah Hazrat Ji-

bra'eel (Alaihis Salaam) took Rasoolullah (Sallallahu

Alaihi Wasallam)

towards the heavens to see paradise, hell etc. When they

reached Sidratul Muntaha Hazrat Jibra'eel (Alaihis Sa-

laam) remained behind and said, “If I go further as much

as a hair‟s breadth I will burn and perish.” Allah Ta‟ala

states in the Holy Qur‟an: “The Lord of Mighty

Strength, Who manifested this Ascendance (of Muham-

mad). And he was on the highest horizon.” [Surah

53,Verse 6-7]

In these verses there is a discussion of the Me‟raj, when

Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) went through

the high regions of the seven heavens to come to the

Throne of Almighty Allah. At Sidratul Muntaha (the

Heavenly Tree) even Hazrat Jibra'eel (Alaihis Salaam)

could not go beyond. [Tafseer Noorul Irfaan]

Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) then mounted

Raf-Raf, a heavenly carpet, and travelled from Sidratul

Muntaha to Qaaba-Qausain (Place of Proximity to Allah

Ta‟ala). He reached a realm where there is no place,

time, direction and attribute, and saw Allah Ta‟ala in an

unknown, incomprehensible and unexampled manner.

Allah Ta‟ala says, “Then the Splendid Vision drew

nearer, and then he came closer. So there was a distance

of two hands, but rather less than that. And He revealed

to His servant whatever He revealed.” [Surah 53, Verses

8-10]

attribute, and saw Allah Ta‟ala in an unknown, in-

comprehensible and unexampled manner. Allah

Ta‟ala says, “Then the Splendid Vision drew

nearer, and then he came closer. So there was a dis-

tance of two hands, but rather less than that. And

He revealed to His servant whatever He re-

vealed.” [Surah 53, Verses 8-10]

In these verses Allah Ta‟ala tells us about the prox-

imity that was experienced by Rasoolullah

(Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) during the Beauteous

Vision of Almighty Allah. This is further stated in

the Hadith and is narrated by Hazrat Anas bin

Malik (Radiallahu Ta‟ala Anh): “Rasoolullah

(Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) approached Sidratul

Muntaha and came so close to the Glorious Rabb

that there was a distance of two bows or even less

between them. [Bukhari Shareef] Allah Ta‟ala fur-

ther says in the Qur‟an, “The heart lied not in what

he saw.” [Surah 53, Verse 11]

This means that the blessed eye of Rasoolullah

(Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) totally absorbed the

Beauteous Vision of Almighty Allah and his heart

verified that this observation was indeed accurate

without any error. Furthermore, unlike Hazrat

Moosa (Alaihis Salaam) our Beloved Aaqa

(Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) did not become un-

conscious, but instead looked directly at the Beaute-

ous Vision of Allah Ta‟ala, in full control of his

senses. The heart was able to understand the words

of Allah Ta‟ala fully and verify what the eye was

seeing. [Tafseer Noorul Irfaan]

Allah Ta‟ala then says, “And indeed he saw that

Splendid Sight twice.” [Surah 53, Verse 13] Here

„two times‟ denotes seeing again and again. On the

request of Hazrat Moosa (Alaihis Salaam) Ra-

soolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) went again

and again before Almighty Allah to have the fifty

Salaah reduced, and each time he saw the Beaute-

ous Vision of Almighty Allah. [Tafseer Noorul Ir-

faan]

Regarding the Vision of Almighty Allah, Allah

Ta‟ala says, “The eye (of Muhammad) did not devi-

ate, nor exceeded the limit.” [Surah 53, Verse 17]

From this verse we learn that the eye of the Holy

Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) neither

winked nor did his blessed heart show any sign of

fear during the Vision of Almighty Allah. [Tafseer

Noorul Irfaan]

Subhaanallah! Besides Allah Ta‟ala, who will know

the true status of our Beloved Rasool (Sallallahu

Alaihi Wasallam), who saw his Rabb with his

physical eyes? It is for this reason that A‟la Hazrat

Imam Ahle Sunnat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan

(Radiallahu Ta‟ala Anh) says in a Naath

Shareef:

Aur Koyi Ghayb Kya Thum se Niha ho Bhala

Page 6: This is issued monthly by The FIKR-E-RAZA Organization in ...fikreraza.org/newsletter/english/june-2012.pdf · This is issued monthly by The FIKR-E-RAZA Organization in Cairo, Egypt

Jab Na Khuda Hi Chupa Thum pe Karoro Durood

What can be hidden from you O Rasoolullah

(Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)?

When Allah the Most Hidden was not hidden from

you, millions of Durood be upon you.

After the Me‟raj when Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi

Wasallam) went back to Ummi Haani‟s house, the mat

on which he had been sleeping was still warm and the

water of his Wudhu was still flowing. The next morn-

ing when he went to the Ka‟bah and related his

Me‟raj, the disbelievers ridiculed him, saying that he

was gone crazy. Astaghfirullah! The following inci-

dent is a lesson for those people who do not believe in

the physical Me‟raj of Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi

Wasallam): The disbelievers, after ridiculing our Be-

loved Aaqa (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), went to

Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (Radiallahu Ta‟ala Anh) and

asked him the duration of travelling from Makkah to

Jerusalem. When he said that it would take more than

a month, in a laughing and mocking manner they said

that Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) claims

that he went to Jerusalem and came back within one

night. As soon as Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (Radiallahu

Ta‟ala Anh) heard the name of his master, he immedi-

ately said, “If Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasal-

lam) says so then I believe him. He for sure went and

came back in one night.” He then dressed up immedi-

ately and went to Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa-

sallam) and said, “Ya Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi

Wasallam), I congratulate you on your blessed Me‟raj.

Infinite thanks to Allah Ta‟ala because He has hon-

oured us with being the servants of such an exalted

Prophet as you are.

He has blessed us with seeing your shining face and

with hearing your sweet words that please hearts and

attract souls. O Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasal-

lam) every word you say is true. I believe in you. I am

ready to sacrifice my life for you.”

These words bewildered the kuffaar (disbelievers) and

being at a loss for words, they dispersed. These words

also strengthened the hearts of a few people with weak

Imaan who had doubted the Me‟raj. It was on this day

that Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) called

Hazrat Abu Bakr (Radiallahu Ta‟ala Anh) as „Siddiq‟

and gave him this title which was a testament of his

truthfulness. Subhaanallah! This is true Imaan!

Some ignorant people justify their claims of the

Me‟raj being a dream by quoting Hazrat Aisha Siddiqa

(Radiallahu Ta‟ala Anha) when she said, “The Sacred

body of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasal-

lam) never left my side.” This statement is true be-

cause Hazrat Aisha Siddiqa (Radiallahu Ta‟ala Anha)

is referring to Me‟raj-e-Manaami which took place in

Madina Shareef, and is the other Me‟rajs, besides the

physical Me‟raj, which Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi

Wasallam) experienced in dreams.

The physical Me‟raj took place in Makkah Shareef

and at the time Hazrat Aisha Siddiqa (Radiallahu

Ta‟ala Anha) was not even present at the side of Ra-

soolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). In fact, when

the physical Me‟raj took place she was not even in

the Nikah of Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasal-

lam). Therefore such claims that the Me‟raj was just a

dream are baseless.

In fact Allah Ta‟ala states in the Glorious Qur‟an,

“Will you then dispute with him concerning what he

saw?” [Surah 53, Verse 12] In this verse Allah Ta‟ala

asks the mushrikeen (polytheists) why they reject the

physical Me‟raj and Vision of Almighty Allah experi-

enced by Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam).

In this day and age many corrupt and ignorant so-

called Muslims refuse to accept the physical Me’raj

of Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and say

that it was just a dream. Astaghfirullah! They

should take heed of these verses of the Holy Qur’an

and keep in mind that if they reject the physical

Me’raj of Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam),

then they are rejecting verses of the Holy Qur’an. It

is now befitting to present a few couplets from

Qaseeda-e-Me’raj which was written by A’la Haz-

rat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan (Radiallahu Ta’ala

Anh) in praise of the blessed Me’raj Shareef:

He advanced hesitantly with respect and humility

Allah led him on this endless journey with an ex-

ceptional agility

O Moon! You should have picked up the dust from

the Prophet’s feet

You would have removed your blemishes by rub-

bing it on them for a day

Here Allah gave His beloved Messenger a gift of

formal and ritual prayers

He also honoured him with garlands of Durood and

Salaam’s regal flowers

The tongue was anxious to speak and the ear was

eager to go very near

Mysteriously and silently he said what he wanted

to say and heard what he wanted to hear Take pity

on Raza, O our intercessor, and Allah’s Messenger

of Mercy!

Grant him a small share from the gifts distributed

during the Me’raj Journey

May Allah Ta’ala grant us true love for Rasoolullah

(Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), the Taufeeq to follow

and serve him as Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq

(Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh) served him, and the Hi-

dayat to act upon the teachings of A’la Hazrat

Imam Ahmad Raza Khan (Radiallahu Ta’ala Anh),

Ameen.

Dear Muslims, Please make sure you and your children know which is the real Masjid Al Aqsa Many Muslims

think the Al-Sakhrah Mosque (shown on the right) also know as the "Dome of the rock" is the Al-Aqsa

Mosque!! The main reason behind this is public ignorance. The Al-Aqsa Mosque is the Mosque shown on the

left. This is the Al-Sakhrah Mosque!!( Dome of the rock)

This is the real Al-Aqsa Mosque shown below!

The Al-Aqsa Mosque where the Prophet Muhammad (sallal la ho alaihe wasalam) led salat with all the proph-

ets, from Adam (alaihe ssalam) to Isa (alaihe ssalam).

In Islam Al-Aqsa is one of the three most sacred places after Mecca and Medina.

Masjid Al Aqsa Did you know?

1. That, Masjidul Al Aqsa was the second Masjid on earth.

2. That, it was built 40 years after the Ka‟ba in Makkah.

3. That, most scholars are of the opinion that Masjidul Al Aqsa was first built by Prophet Adam [alaihe ssalam].

4. That, Ibrahim [alaihe ssalam] rebuilt the Masjidul Al Aqsa in Jerusalem as he and Ismail [alaihe ssalam] rebuilt the Ka‟ba in Makkah.

5. That, Prophet Daud [alehis salam] began the rebuilding of Masjidul Al Aqsa.

6. That, it was Prophet Sulayman [alaihe ssalam] who finally completed the building of Masjidul Al Aqsa.

7. That, Masjidul Al Aqsa built by Sulayman [alaihe ssalam] was destroyed in 587 BC by Nebuchadnezzar King of Babylon.

8. That, the Jews call this same Masjidul Al Aqsa built by Sulayman [alaihe ssalam] as their Temple.

9. That, the Jews re-built their Temple on them same site in 167 BC but was destroyed in 70 AD and Jews banished from Jerusa-

lem.

10. That, the site of Masjidul Al Aqsa remained barren and was used as a rubbish tip for nearly 600 years until the Great Khalifah

Umar bin Khattab liberated Jerusalem in 637/8 AD.

11. That, the Khalifah Umar bin Khattab began the foundation of Masjidul Al Aqsa and a timber mosque was built.

12. That, the Umayyad Khalifah, Abd‟ al Malik ibn Marwan in 691/2 [72/73 AH] began the construction of, Dome of the Rock –

today this is the Golden Domed Mosque.

13. That, the al Buraq wall or Western Wall where Prophet Muhammad [peace be upon him] tied his animal the Buraq on the night

journey of al Isra is what the Jews call the wailing wall.

14. That, to Muslims it is the land or the Haram Sharif area which is most holy and important.

15. That, the Haram area of Al Aqsa has within it the Masjidul Al Aqsa [Black Domed Mosque] and Dome of the Rock [the Golden

Domed Mosque].

16. That, Israel occupied Masjidul Al Aqsa in 1967.

17. That, the fundamentalist Jews have made 100‟s of attempts to destroy Al Aqsa since 1967 when they occupied it. A fire in 1967

started by their help destroyed the 900 year old Mimbar installed by Slaudeen Ayubi, the Great Muslim Hero. 18. That, the fundamentalist want to blow up and destroy Masjidul Al Aqsa and replace it with a Jewish Temple.

Please make sure you and your children, your friends all know which is the real Masjid Al Aqsa. Check your

house for pictures!! many people have picture in there homes showing the wrong mosque!!
