Dear parishioners and friends in Christ,
Happy Father’s Day! Today we give prayerful thanks to all of you men who share so much of your life and love with your children. With all of the pressure and stress-es currently associated with family life, employment, and the economy, you truly deserve this expression of our gratitude and love. We also include in our remembrances at Masses today all of our fathers who have passed on to eternal life. May they too know of our love and appreciation for the countless sacrifices they have made for their families. May they intercede for us and rest in peace in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
Congratulations to our Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Parochial Elementary School graduates. We are very proud of you and grateful to our excellent Instructional Staff headed by Sister Susan Snyder. Registration continues throughout the summer. Our “school spirit” is the Holy Spirit—Catch It! Please phone 667-4044 x 131 for infor-mation.
Registration is also now underway for our Reli-gious Education Program. Registration forms were distrib-uted at the end of this current school year. Kindly return them as soon as possible. Pass the word to neighbors and friends. We will need the entire summer to place students in classes, arrange for catechists, and order materials. Regis-tration Forms are available at the Religious Education Of-fice and at the Parish Center Office.
Beginning in July and throughout August we will implement a temporary “Summer Mass Schedule” as have many parishes. As we did for the past two summers we will suspend the weekday 7:00 am Mass, and the 12:30 pm Sun-day Mass, Thank you for your cooperation.
I am pleased to report that our parishioners have pledged just over $113,825 to this year’s Catholic Ministries Appeal. That’s 82%! We are so close. Thank you for your support of the Appeal which helps to fund the pastoral min-istries of our Diocese and assists us here in our Parish. If you have not already done so, please prayerfully consider donating whatever you can afford. Remember, “no gift is too small, but no gift at all.”
Many Stewardship Opportunities remain unfilled. Please consult page 8 to learn how you can help. Thank you for sharing your “Time & Talent” with our Parish Family.
Our air conditioning is working up to expecta-tions, and we are “tweaking” the computerized thermostats to arrive at an agreeable temperature level. Obviously not everyone will be comfortable, so bring along a light sweater or jacket if it is too cool for you. Find a place where you can be comfortable and pray best.
Our Prayers and Best Wishes to our Dads & Grads Monsignor Bob Clerkin

Thank you, and God Bless you, for your faithful weekly Stewardship of our Parish Family and for your
support of the 2017 Catholic Ministries Appeal!
This Fathers Day, please consider those Dads who because of an illness or loss of job are having trouble feeding or sheltering their family?
A crisis can take many forms and strike in an instant. The good news is that because of you, the Catholic Ministries Appeal pro-vides the support necessary for our Parish Outreach and Catholic Charities programs to assist those in their time of greatest need.
Every day, people in our community are helped because of support from funds raised through the Catholic Ministries Appeal…Dads like James. James saw information about the Catholic Ministries Appeal at his local parish, and he knew he had to turn to the Church for help since he had nowhere else to go. James had been gainfully employed for more than 10 years when he began to feel ill. Soon his medical issues made it impossible for him to keep working and he was forced to go out on disability.
After paying the co-pays on his medications, his family’s rent and utilities bills, James had very little left to purchase food and other necessities for his family.
It was hard for him to ask for help, but with nowhere else to turn, he did. Catholic Charities found him a specialist who assessed the family’s needs and directed them to appropriate resources in his community. He went to his Parish Outreach, where his fam-ily received food that let them make it through the month. James and his family got the help they so desperately needed.
Today, James is back to work and the family is doing well. “I am so thankful that I know there is somewhere I can turn, where there are people that care, people I can talk to, if I am ever in such a situation again,” shared James.
Thank you for considering this special request to make a gift to the 2017 Catholic Ministries Appeal. Please know that no gift is too small and every gift makes a difference in the lives of Dads like James and so many others. You may pick up
information and pledge cards in the back of the Church, or for more information, visit www.CatholicMinistriesAppeal.org or call 516-678-5810 ext. 296

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
CONFERENCE
Today, as we celebrate the gift of the Body and Blood of Christ, let us pray for our neighbors who are hungry, sick, homeless and lonely. Let us pray, as well for the success of our Parish ministries like Outreach and St. Vincent de Paul, that reach out to the hungry, sick, homeless and lone-ly. As Pope Francis recently said: "A single individual is enough for hope to exist, and that individual can be you."
If you, or anyone you know is in need of assistance, please contact us at 631-667-4044 ext. 175, or at
The next conference meeting will be on June 19, 2017, at 7:15 p.m. in the Senior Center.
Dear Friends of Outreach,
Happy Father’s Day to all those wonderful Dads who have worked so hard to raise, support, nourish and protect their precious children. You surely deserve a day to recognize all you have done for them. Please pray for the fathers who depend on our ministry to help support their families. Their goals are the same as yours, but they have fallen on difficult times, and their role as father is so much harder. God bless every father out there

*HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!* Happy Father’s Day to all of our fathers and those who serve as father figures to us! Thank you for all you do for your children and your families for them to grow, thrive and succeed on a daily basis. No one knows your concerns for your families more than St. Joseph, who put his life on hold to raise Jesus. Be sure to send an extra prayer his way today!
*ATTENTION ALL CATECHISTS* I am extending the invitation to my Catechists, both new and seasoned, to join me for the Diocese of Rockville Centre’s Annual Catechetical Con-gress on September 16th, our theme being “Living as Missionary Disciples”! I am so happy and excited to announce that the keynote speaker this year will be our very own Bishop John O. Barres!
