All Souls Day
Saturday November 2 is All Souls Day. Join us at
our cemetery at 12noon for a special prayer service
as we remember all those who have gone to
their eternal reward.
(If weather is poor we will have the service in the church)
All Saints Day
Friday November 1, 2019 is All Saints Day. It is a holy
day of obligation. Mass times are at 12:10pm and
7:00pm.
From Fr. Mike’s Desk
We are very fortunate here at St. Michael's to have a
community that is so open and willing to come together to
show support in so many ways. We recently had two sig-
nificant projects done in the church and it was all possible
because of the generosity and support of members of our
community. The new sound system and the new doors
have helped to demonstrate that we take great pride in our
church and are focused on taking care of it for future gen-
erations. As the result of donations made, both the new
sound system and doors were more than half covered, and
the parish only had to cover less than half the cost of each
project.
For the new sound system I would like to recognize the
donations made:

Mr. & Mrs. William Stavisky
For the installation of new doors I would like to recog-
nize donations made:
In memory of Julie Gillen by The Gillen Family
In memory of the Parents of Pam & Jerry Kelly
In memory of Robert and Edna Meyer
If you would like to make a donation in memorial for
someone please do not hesitate to set up an appointment
with me, or contact me with questions. Just like any of
your homes, there is a project that needs tending here at
the church. Some needs are more important than others,
and sometimes we are just looking to update what might
already be here because of wear and tear.
Thank you to everyone in our community for all of your
support through your time, talent and treasures. During
my short time here I have noticed, and visitors have com-
mented on the great positive energy here in our commu-
nity!
In Good Faith,
Fr. Mike

Respect Life News
St. Michael’s Church is hoping to expand our activities of the
past and take a more active role in the future. You will notice 60
white crosses on the lawn facing Main St. These crosses are to
remind us of the 60,000,000 legal abortions that have occurred
in our country since 1973. They will remain for the month of
October. We will be meeting in the near future to form a more
active committee to continue our pro-life efforts. Father Mike is
hoping to expand our pro-life activities towards fulfilling our
Christian mission to respect human life from conception to

As we celebrate and show our appreciation for all
priests, let us give Special Thanks and recognition to
our Pastor, Father Mike. Thank you for your joyful
preaching of the gospel and for your pastoral service to
the people of St. Michael’s, which brings God's hope to
a troubled world. May Christ in his Sacred Heart refresh
your priestly zeal and reward you with many happy
years!

Gracious and loving God, we thank you for the gift of our
priests.
Through them, we experience your presence in the
sacraments.
Help our priests to be strong in their vocation.
Set their souls on fire with love for your people.
Grant them the wisdom, understanding, and strength they
need to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.
Inspire them with the vision of your Kingdom.
Give them the words they need to spread the Gospel.
Allow them to experience joy in their ministry.
Help them to become instruments of your divine grace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns as
our Eternal Priest.
Amen.
