Children’s ProgrammingHoliday Competition I am really excited about thiscompetition.Ihavepickedfourma-jor holidays that are going to becompetition with each other. Howso?Hereatthelibrary,wehavelotsof books that go along with theseholidays–Valentine’sDay,Hallow-een, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.SoduringthemonthofeachholidayIwillbeplacingthesebooksoutondisplayforcheckout.Whicheverhol-idayhasthemostbookscheckedoutwillbethewinningholiday.Ihaven’tfigured out what the prize for the winningholidaywillbe,butIgoingtobethinkingofsomethingfun.Storytime ThislastweekIhadWednesdayoff so we didn’t have Storytime at the Library.However,wearebackinac-tionthisweek.I’msoexcitedtobemovingonthroughthealphabetwithourWednesdayStorytimers.WearetalkingabouttheletterBandCoverthenexttwoweeks.I’mincorporat-ingthetransportationthemeagainwith these letters. We built different types of paper airplanes when wetalkedabouttheletterA.ForletterBonthe23rdwebuiltanaluminumfoilboatandtestedhowmanypen-niesitwouldhold.Onthe30thwewillbemakingballooncars!Therearesomanyfunthingsgoingonwiththisgroup.Ifyouhavea3-5yearoldwewouldloveforyoutojoinus.Baby&Me Storytime My schedule was also different onFridaysowedidn’thaveBaby&MeStorytimeeither.Fridaysarealwaysso much fun, mostly because youjustneverknowwhatthebabiesare

goingtodo!Theyaresoenergetic,buttheylovetolistentothebooksorsinganddancealongtothesongsthatIplayatthebeginning.Ibelievetheir favoritepartthoughisat theendwhenIbringoutbooksforthemto look at on their own. They justlovetositandlookatthepictures.I’mhopingtohaveasensorydayinthenearfuturetohelpdeveloptheirsenses as well as let them build asenseofexploration.Baby&MeSto-rytimeisat10:30onFridaymorn-ings!LEGO Club LEGOClubhasbecomearatherpopular activity. Every week wehave kids coming into the librarytobecreative.I’veseensomereallydetailed,aswellasveryminimalis-tic, creations.Thekidsenjoymak-ing stuff, but one of they also enjoy searchingfortheLEGOMooseeachweek. I hide a small LEGO moosearoundthelibrarythatthechildrenhave to find. When they find the moosetheycometomeandIhavebeen giving them a small prize (pen-cil,bookmark,sticker,etc.)

Teen ProgrammingTeen Book Club IdobelieveourTeenBookClubis finishing up Inkheart and will be startingThePrincessBridesoon!Ifyouwanttojoinforthatjustcometothenextmeetingonthe28that4:00.Katelynalsowantedmetomentionthatshewillbedoingablinddatewithabookprograminafewweeks!Beonthelookoutformoreinforma-tiononthat.Itsoundsquiteinterest-ing.ImayjointheTeenBookClubforthatprogram.
