Principal’s News

Welcome back to the start of Term 4. I hope everyone enjoyed the two week break and are now ready for an exciting ten weeks and build up to the end of the year. This week will see the commencement of our new mobile device policy. All students have been informed of the requirements and we ask that parents support us with this change. Students have not been prevented from bringing a mobile device to school but are to have it switched off and away during the school day. If parents need to contact their child during the day a message can be delivered via contacting the front office on 6344 1305 Over the holidays we were lucky to have our new stage curtains installed and they look fantastic. Throughout the coming weeks we will also be looking at upgrading our lighting and sound system as well as undertaking some cosmetic improvements in the hall. This Thursday will see the commencement of the 2018 Higher School Certificate and on behalf of our students, staff and school community I would like to wish all the students every success with their exams.

Canowindra Open Gardens Day The P & C's annual Open Gardens Day is coming up soon on Saturday 27th October and we need your help! This is our biggest fundraiser for the year and we have some fantastic gardens for people to come and see. Thanks to those people who are already helping either before or on the day!

We still however need more helpers. Here are some ways that you can help:

we are still needing some volunteers (students, staff and parents) to help on the day. We need people to sit at gardens for half a day or to help us at the school where morning tea and lunch will be sold.

baking of either sweet or savoury is needed so that we can sell this at the school during morning tea

and lunch. These need to be delivered to the school before the end of school on the Friday or to the school on Saturday morning.

next Sunday 21st October at 11am, we having a working bee at the school to tidy up the

gardens ready for the garden day. BYO gloves, shovel and wheelbarrow if possible. Please contact Anna Stanley 0427 228539 or Ash Wright 0427 448 480 if you can help. We look forward to hearing from you!
