The wins also gave Ole Miss season sweeps of both foes after defeating the Bulldogs and Tigers in Oxford earlier in the season. With one more win, the Rebels will hit the 20-win mark for the second time under head coach Joe Getzin. The last time Ole Miss posted at least 20 wins was the 2007 season when the Rebels went 25-8 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. Despite her season being over due to injury, junior middle blocker Regina Thomas continues to hold a spot as one of the top players in the nation by hitting percentage, holding down the fifth spot with a .421 hitting percentage for 2010. Thomas was also averaging 1.16 blocks per set on the season to lead the Rebels. Senior middle blocker Miranda Kitts has also been a solid force for the Rebels, putting down 14 kills and hitting .414 against the Auburn Tigers in the win. She is hitting .303 on the season and also averages more than a block a set. Junior libero Morgan Springer continues to lead the Rebels’ back row defense with a 4.62 dig per set average, putting her second in the SEC in the category as she has played a key role in Ole Miss’ success this season. The Rebels currently are tied for third in the overall standings with Tennessee and second in the SEC West with a bid for a third NCAA Tournament appearance in five years in site. It would be the third NCAA Tournament bid for Ole Miss in program history. SERIES HISTORY Ole Miss Tennessee currently holds a dominating 36-6 lead in the all-time series with Ole Miss, including a victory earlier this season in Knoxville. The Lady Vols made quick work of the Rebels in that contest, sweeping them, 25-22, 25-16, 25-22, behind the strength of a .343 team hitting percentage. Nikki Fowler posted a double-double with 10 kills and a team-high 12 digs, while Kayla Jeter just missed one of her own with a match-best 16 putaways and nine scoops. Up NEXT Following its match against Ole Miss, Tennessee will close out the regular-season portion of its schedule with a 7 p.m. showdown against Kentucky at Memorial Coliseum in Lexington on Wednesday, Nov. 24. The Lady Vols will then await word as to their NCAA Tournament fate which will be announced between 3-3:30 p.m. on ESPNews on Sunday, Nov. 28. ““It seems like Tennessee always plays their best volleyball in the second half of the SEC, which I think is a testament to great coaching. They also have two of the premier offensive players in the league.”

— Florida Head Coach Mary Wise

“Our fans got to see one of the premier players not only in the league, but also in the country. Nikki Fowler is a terrific talent and obviously gave us fits as she has for her entire career. When a player is that good and she starts from her freshman year, by their senior year they are just so difficult to defend. “

— Florida Head Coach Mary Wise

“(Tennessee’s defense) is definitely frustrat-ing especially as a hitter. You think you’re hit-ting these really great shots and then they keep bringing the ball back.”

— Florida junior Kelly Murphy

“At Tennessee, we just ran into a buzzsaw. They played absolutely phenomenally well on all cylinders. In my opinion, they are still the best team in the conference...We hit them on the wrong night.”

—AuburnHeadCoachWadeBenson

“Tennessee is a very good team with a lot of options. They are a little different to scheme for because of where their setters and opposites play. I think that gave us a little trouble...We just couldn’t get them slowed down and it seemed to effect our spirit.”—SouthCarolinaHeadCoachBenSomera

“We knew Tennessee would be tough...They remind me of our team last year where we had most of the team returning.”

— Florida State Head Coach Chris Poole

“Tennessee poses a very difficult matchup for any team in our conference. They have four players at the pins that can put the ball away.”

- Alabama Head Coach Judy Green
