number system to the Sydney Region Route Number System

1981 – 2004

This is a list of the renumbering of Sydney private bus routes from the older 1925 system to the newer,

geographically-based Sydney Region Route Number System between 1981 and 2004. The list shows only details of

each route as at the date of renumbering. Further details of each route before and after renumbering can be found in

the “Route Histories” pages on this site.

Some background to the renumbering is included in the page entitled “The Development of Bus Route Numbers in

Sydney from 1925 to the Present”.

For each route or group of routes, the route/s prior to renumbering are shown above the broken line, and the route/s
