views of the Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in the Alps.

Day 3

Rail trip by Brnig Express from Interlaken to Lucerne.

Sightseeing in Lucerne. Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 4

Lake Lucerne cruise from Lucerne to Alpnachstad, then up to

the Pilatus (2,132 m/7,000 ft) with the steepest cogwheel rail-

way in the world (from May/June to November, during winter

you take the bus from Lucerne to Kriens and a panoramic

gondola from Kriens to Pilatus). Time at leisure. Overnight in
