On thevoyage south, the plains of La Mancha excite the imagination, as this is the land where Cervantes' famousDon Quixote jousted windmills and dreamed the impossible dream. Beyond the plains sits Cordoba, anancient city of diverse heritage that boasts Aljama, an 8th century mosque with architectural features thatreflect the culture of the conquering peoples who once made this city home. In Andalucia, the mostromantic city in Spain beckons-Seville. Seville's Gothic cathedral and epic La Giralda bell tower glowgolden at night and winding, cobblestone streets burst on to broad plazas. Due east from Seville isGranada, the last strong hold of Muslim rule in Spain. Rising from the mountain is the UNESCO WorldHeritage-restored Alhambra, a fortress-turned-palace that is over 600 years old. The final destination isToledo, one of Europe's oldest cities and home to famous painter El Greco.

Day 1 - Sat Madrid

Upon arrival, you'll be met by your Central Holidays representative andtaken to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 2 - Sun Madrid

After breakfast, enjoy your tour of Madrid. Highlights include themagnificent fountains of Neptune and Cibeles, the Alcala Gate, the Plazade Espana and the Royal Palace. Visit of the Prado Museum and itsmagnificent art collection. Rest of the afternoon is at leisure to explore allMadrid has to offer. (B)

Day 3 - Mon Madrid/Cordoba/Seville

After breakfast depart for Cordoba. Drive through ''La Mancha'', land of theplains and knights such as Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. Upon arrival inCordoba, start your guided tour of the historic city center, a UNESCOWorld Heritage Site. Visit the Aljama, the 8th Century Mosque combiningIslamic, Baroque and Gothic design and internationally recognized as anarchitectural treasure. Continue to Seville. Dinner at hotel is included. Day 4 - Tue Seville

Today enjoy a guided tour of Seville, the most romantic city in Spain.Highlights include a visit to the Cathedral, considered the world's largestGothic edifice. Afterwards, stop for some photos of La Giralda tower beforestrolling through the narrow lanes of Seville's delightful Santa Cruz district,a former Jewish Quarter. Afternoon at leisure. Day 5 - Wed Seville/Granada

After breakfast depart Seville and continue your tour with a step back into the rich history of Granada asyou visit its main attraction, the fabulous Alhambra Palace, widely regarded as being one of the 10architectural wonders of the world. Both graceful and mighty, this citadel is laced in stone and issurrounded by gardens and fountains. Your tour includes ample time to walk through the beautiful grounds

Day 6 - Thu Granada/Toledo/Madrid
