To provide a better connection between the town centre, the residential areas and the railway station. To improve linkages between land uses. To generate interest in the use of the existing dairy site in a manner that will not detract IURP WKH ¿QDQFLDO YLDELOLW\ RI WKH WRZQ FHQWUH proposed works Possibilities to provide better accessibility to the railway station include: 1. Relocate the railway station and carpark to the west of the existing railway line; 2. Construct a pedestrian bridge over the railway line from the existing station to the west and construct a car park on the western side; 3. Relocate the existing railway station to the disused dairy site further to the south. Consider opportunities for the redevelopment of the former Dairy site integrated with the Council building and adjoining land. Redevelopment of the Dairy site for visitor accommodation. A longer term strategy may include the relocation of the Council Chambers into the main street of Gloucester.
