B 1 learning Conferences Learning conferences are held twice each year for children in Year 4 — 8. We encourage you to bring your child to these meetings. These meetings are an opportunity to have a discussion about your child’s learning ability and needs, so that a suitable learning programme can be arranged to support them. Learning conferences for children in Year 1—3 are held at the time of written reports. You are welcome to request additional learning conferences or meetings with your child’s teacher at any time. Please allow the teacher to plan a suitable time, and prepare thoroughly for such meetings, as approaching a teacher before or after school is not always suitable. C 5 Religious Education St Teresa’s is a Catholic school. The Catholic Character is demonstrated in a number of ways. All classes begin the day with prayers. Prayers begin at 9.15am. The School celebrates important Church and School days with Masses and other liturgies. These include Masses to celebrate the: beginning and end of our school year. Ash Wednesday and All Saints Day Liturgies, Easter Plays, Grandparents’ Mass (the Feast of St Anne and St Joachim) and St Teresa’s day. It is also our goal that the Christian ethos is reflected in all we do, especially in Pastoral Care and Discipline. There is a Religious Education class programme that is part of the curriculum in all Catholic Schools. The Curriculum is organised in six strands; God Jesus Holy Spirit Community / Church Sacrament Communion of Saints. There are four learning modules: The Liturgical Year Prayer Myself and others Sacramental Celebrations We work closely with the parish throughout the year.
