My Prayer Response: Thank You, Jesus, that You give Your mercy as our defense in the battle of life — and that You Yourself are fighting for us. Sts. Peter & Paul Breakfast- Our first of the season will be at the Father Morriscey Centre, on

Mother’s Day, May 12th from 9 - noon. Adults $7.00. Children under 12 free.

(Serving Old fashioned breakfast including baked beans!)

We need Volunteers - Anyone wishing to serve: We need Church Cleaners people to

take Collection, Counters, Eucharistic Minister, Readers and Sacristans . There will be

a sign up sheet at the back of the Church.

No Dance in May - will resume on a monthly basis on June 28th.

St. Samuel’s St. Samuels’ Women’s Exercises: Mon., Wed. and Fri, 10 - 11 am in the Church

St. Samuel’s Men’s Group hosts a 45’s card party each Sunday evening beginning

at 7 pm in the church hall. Cost $5 - no partner required. Everyone welcome!

Community Events: CAMP SHELDRAKE, for youth & teens (ages 6 – 17 years) in Bartibog is now ac-

The Salvation Army is in need the following NEW, UNUSED toiletries for both men

and women: shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste/toothbrushes, soap shaving

cream/gel, razors, brushes, toilet tissue. Donations can be delivered to our Family

Services office at 231 Pleasant Street, Monday - Thursday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm & Fri-

day 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. We are closed from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm for lunch.

Friday, May 10th, 7:00 pm at Skyway to Heaven Church. Quadruple amputee, Cyndi

Desjardins Wilkens' husband, Mark Wilkens will be speaking from his perspective about Cyndi's

struggles with flesh-eating disease (necrotizing fasciitis). This is an inspiring story about two indi-

viduals in faith, overcoming overwhelming obstacles in their lives together. This is a free event

(free-will offering will be taken). (They will also be at this years’ Leadership Breakfast)

The Columbian Ladies Yard & Bake Sale will be held on May 18th from 8 am to 12

noon at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Campbell Street. Donations of items would be

greatly appreciated and can be dropped off during any Friday Bingo or Thursday, May

16th from 1-5 pm. Thank you.

The Parish has secured Summer Student Grant funding and will be hiring for posi-

tions at Sts. Peter & Paul, St. Samuel’s and St. Mary’s in the near future. If you know

of students looking for summer employment please ask them to send their resumes to
