What’s the Vision/Objective of SportCheer Wales
The National Bodies (SportCheer England, NI, Scotland and Wales) will develop and support cheerleading within their nation or province working and reporting to principles and priorities set by SportCheerGB and each will put forward national teams. They will each be responsible for:
• Development of cheerleading in the nation, including development for clubs, schools, universities, coaches, athletes and officials including deciding, publishing and implementing a national cheerleading development plan.
• Selecting and supporting representative national teams (Team England, Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales) or clubs to represent the nation in particular disciplines where a representative team is not yet possible.
• Public representation, promotion and awareness of the cheerleading in the nation.Representation of cheerleading with national and local government (e.g. Scottish Parliament, Welsh or NI assembly).
• Representation of cheerleading with national sport authorities and national Commonwealth associations or councils.
• Monitoring and promotion of safety, including operation of safeguarding, injury prevention etc. within principles and priorities set by SportCheerGB.
