COFFEE BREAK - If you work part time, are retired, or stay at home, CoffeeBreak needs you! Helping in the nursery involves NO PREPARATION, just a smile and time for the 8-10 children that attend. Even if you can just help one or two weeks, your time would be greatly appreciated. Danielle Johnson, CM Director, will be there each week to lead Sing N Sprout and help organize crafts, so all you need to do is love on the kids! CoffeeBreak is held each Tuesday from 9:15-10:45am. If you are willing to help, please see Charissa Covey, or sign up here https://goo.gl/q6vXie. MISSION TRIP OPPORTUNITY - Mick Vanden Bosch and his family are planning a trip to Dominican Republic May 26 - June 2. This will be over Memorial Day. We are looking for one or two more people to help in the eye clinic or operating room. No experience necessary. Please contact Mick Vanden Bosch (214-0735) if you have questions or are interested. HELP IS NEEDED! As part of Shalom’s commitment to the Furniture Mission, we are making follow up calls to clients who receive furniture, bedding, and kitchen utensils. We currently have ten callers, but we can’t keep up with the volume. Callers receive approximately ten information sheets every two weeks. Notes are made on the calls regarding such things as their reaction and satisfaction with the Furniture Mission as well as asking if they have a church home. If they don’t have a church home, we have a suggested lest that can be provided. Anyone who feels God’s prompting to do this, please call John De Jong at 605-212-2071 or email [email protected] SUMMER MISSION TRIP - Shalom will once again be sending out an intergenerational mission team during the summer of 2018! This year we will be traveling to Missouri to assist World Renew in rebuilding homes that sustained flooding damage. Dates for the trip will be June 23-30. Singles, couples, and families of all ages are welcome. Please plan to join! More information will come out soon. Please speak to Kristin DeWeerd (951-7786) if you have questions. SERVING AT THE BANQUET- Please plan to serve with us at the Banquet on Saturday, March 10. We will need help with preparing and serving the food as well as monetary donations. More information and a sign-up will be coming, but please SAVE THE DATE and plan to participate! COMMUNION will be celebrated at the February 11 service.
