The Rabbinic Search Committee continues ourwork according to schedule. While we continue toreceive and screen resumes, we have begun toconduct in-person interviews. The committee is ontrack to identify a top candidate by this fall. Thecongregation will then have an opportunity to meetthe finalist and provide input on that individual priorto a formal vote.

Throughout the process, congregants are invitedto direct their thoughts, ideas and questions viaemail to [email protected] .

The Gif t o f Mus i c Our sages taught that it is right to sing to God by

day and by night. Night and day, we are the best sitein this area for wonderful Jewish music. Now, thatmusic will be even more beautiful because of alovely gift from the family of Janice P. Olins, zl.Mrs. Olins, who passed away in the spring, was thedaughter of Matthew Porosky, zl, and the wife ofHarry Olins, zl, both Presidents of this Temple.Recognizing their familys long ties here, herchildren have donated a classic Mason & Hamlinpiano to the synagogue.

This piano will provide beautiful music not only inour services, but also for organizations that rent ourfacilities for concerts and recitals. We are extremelygrateful for the generosity of the Olins family inproviding it to us.

The Olins family is also planning to contribute toa Janice P. Olins Memorial Piano Maintenance Fundthat will help pay for the upkeep of this instrument.

We will, however, need additional contributions. This82-year-old piano is a magnificent instrument thatwill enrich our services and programs, but if we areto reap its benefits over the next 80 years, it willrequire regular care. If you would like to help, pleasecontact Cantor Schloss.
