Typographic Conventions

Type Style Description

Example Words or characters quoted from the screen. These include field names, screen titles,pushbuttons labels, menu names, menu paths, and menu options.

3 Implementation

3.1 Overall Implementation Sequence

To implement SAP ERP Foundation Extension, you can either deploy an appliance with a software stack alreadyinstalled or you can install and configure the software separately.

Using an Appliance

You can deploy an appliance that is ready for the configuration of the SAP Rapid Deployment solutions listed inthis document.

If you use this approach, certain configuration activities have already been completed and you do not need to dothem. See the guides in SAP Note 1972326 for the remaining activities.

To get started, see the SAP ERP Foundation Extension appliance in SAP Cloud Appliance Library, or contact yourservice provider.

Installing and Configuring the Software Separately

If you already have the software installed or would like to do this separately, you can use the SAP RapidDeployment solutions listed in this document to support with the configuration.
