GRIEFBUSTERS – Catholic Charities and the Hospice of the Central Coast provide support to children and teens who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Griefbusters provides support in a safe place where children and teens can share their experience as they move through the healing process. Call 393-3110 for info.

LITURGICAL MINISTERS’ WORKSHOP -Sacristans, Lectors and Extraordinary Ministers of Communion, both current, and those who feel called to this ministry, mark your calendars and plan to attend one of our ongoing formation sessions. Three opportunities: Tuesday, January 13th, 7:00-9:00pm, or Saturday, January 17th, 1:00-3:00pm. Please note that participation in one of these sessions is essential for ALL liturgical ministers. A LIFELINE FOR MARRIAGE – Do you feel alone? Are you frustrated or angry with each other? Do you argue … or have you just stopped talking to each other? Does talking about it only make it worse? This program has helped 10’s of 1000’s of couples experiencing marital difficulty at all levels including disillusionment and deep misery. MASS FOR LIFE 2015 - All parishioners, priests, deacons, schools and visitors are welcome. Each year, the Diocese of Monterey, in solidarity with dioceses all over the United States, celebrates a Mass on the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. This year in addition to praying for an end to abortion, we will also be praying for a new beginning to our efforts to develop the Culture of Life in our Diocese and world. The Pro-Cathedral Church, Madonna del Sasso will once again be our host for the Celebration, 320 Laurel Dr., Salinas on Thursday, January 22nd. The Mass, which will be bi-lingual, will be at 7 pm. Most Reverend Bishop Richard García will be the homilist. The Diocesan choir will provide a worship aid to help us sing our prayers with their beautiful music. The Madonna del Sasso Parish Respect Life Group will provide refreshments for those who attend. This Mass, while a commemoration of the sad day of Roe vs. Wade, is primarily an opportunity to pray for an end to all the many ways in which a culture of death is promoted in our area and the world, and to look at ways we can grow in compassion, understanding and willingness to help bring about change in our world. SAINT VINCENT DE PAUL FOOD PANTRY—Fellow parishioners: We are in need of your help to feed our many families. There has been an increase of those in need of our help at this time of year. We would appreciate any monetary help you can afford. Please make any checks out to SAINT VINCENT DE PAUL FOOD PANTRY. We are located at 26 Stone St, Salinas, at the rear of the Church parking lot. We are here every Monday & Friday from 9-11 am. Thank you in advance, Don Wolfe and all our volunteers.
SACRED HEART ALTAR SOCIETY– New members are always welcome. We meet on first Tuesday of the month in the Parish Center, Sacred Heart Room. Hope to see you there.
BIBLE STUDY Feel like you’ve failed too many times to be accepted by God? Abraham failed too, but the bible still calls him the Friend of God. Come to a three week bible study beginning Thursday, January 22. We’ll meet at 14 Stone St. from 7 – 8:30 pm.
COVERED CALIFORNIA ENROLLMENT APPLICATION-The Catholic Charities Diocese of Monterey will be assisting new eligible community members with Covered California enrollment applications. Beginning in January, certified enrollment counselors will be available to assist with application throughout four major counties, Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Benito and San Luis Obispo. To receive further information regarding outreach events, appointment availability, and special extended hours, please call our offices at (831) 422-0602.

MARRIAGE: Preparation should begin at least 6 months in advance. Please call the Parish Office during office hours for an appointment with the priest.
SACRAMENT OF THE SICK: First Wednesday of each month at 12:15 pm, or by appointment.
HOSPITALIZED/HOMEBOUND: Please notify the Parish Office if you would like Holy Communion.
