REPORT ^ON

GEOPHYSICAL SURVEYS OH PART OF PROPERTY

DORA EXPLORATIONS LTD. PICKLE LAKE AREA, ONTARIO

INTRODUCTION

Considerable exploration has been carried out in the past on

four claims now held by Dora Explorations Ltd., in the Pickle

Lake area of Ontario. This work has been concentrated on a

gold-bearing quartz vein within a shear zone.

Prior to further investigation by diamond drilling, geophysical

surveys, including.electromagnetic and magnetic methods have been

completed over the four claims to provide maximum information as

a guide to the drilling.

PROPERTY

The complete property held by Dora Explorations Ltd. consists

of 38 contiguous mining claims in the Tarp Lake area of the

Patricia Mining Division of Ontario. The claims are registered

with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources under the following

claim numbers: Pa577711 to 577714 inclusivePa510514 to 510529 inclusive Pa 518004 Pa 531021 Pa 531024 to 531039 inclusive

The present surveys have been confined to claims

Pa577711 to 577714 inclusive.

GEOLOGY

The property is situated within the Pickle Lake

Greenstone belt which has a northeasterly strike and consists of

greenstones and interbedded sediments. This belt of rocks has

been the host of gold deposits at Central Patricia Mines and

Pickle Crow Gold Mines.

The property of Dora Explorations Ltd., is located about

four miles north of the Pickle Crow deposit. Most of the

property is covered by muskeg but there are some outcrops on

the four claims surveyed. The outcrops consist of greenstone with

some shearing and carbonate alteration. Interesting gold values

have been encountered in diamond drilling carried out to investi

gate a quartz vein within the shear zone.

SURVEY METHODS AND INSTRUMENT DATA

The geophysical surveys were conducted over previously cut

lines in a northwest direction at 400 foot intervals.

'lie electromagnetic survey was carried out using a Geonics

EM-17 horizontal loop unit with a 300 foot coil separation. In

the horizontal loop type of survey, both the in-phase and out-of-

phase components of the secondary field are measured, whose special

characteristics make possible a fairly accurate evaluation of the

conductivity. A conductor caused by sulphide mineralization will

produce a curve going from positive readings through zero to

negative and back again to positive. Both the in-phase and out-

of-phase readings show the same general curve. The ratio between

the in-phase and out-of-phase readings over a conductor is an

indication of the conductivity of the body.

The magnetic readings were taken over the same network of

lines using a MF-2 Fluxgate magnetometer. This instrument

measures the vertical component of the earth's magnetic field in

gammas. The readings are plotted on a separate map after correction

for diurnal variation.

RESULTS OF THE GEOPHYSICAL SURVEYS

An examination of Map 2 showing the results of the

electromagnetic survey, shows a number of mostly discontinuous,

weak conductive zones. The responses are quite weak and it is

questionable if they are indicative of conductors in the underlying

rocks.

The most significant conductor is the one extending

In an east-west direction from line O to line 12W Just north of

the base line. Although weak, this could possibly represent the

extension of what is known as the carbonate zone. This zone

consists of a highly carbonatized volcanic rock mineralized with

pyrite. Drilling just east of the conductor gave low gold values

over fair widths. The conductor appears to lie along the flank of

a magnetic anomaly that suggests a more basic rock, possibly a

diorite or gabbro. This would be a favourable environment for

gold mineralization.

The magnetic map (Map No. 2) shows a number of

irregular magnetic anomalies ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 gammas

formations. The known gold-bearing zones would appear to be

situated close to the contact of the magentic anomalies.

CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

The magnetic survey appears to have outlined more basic

rock formations possibly basic intrusives. The electromagnetic

survey indicated some weak conductive responses but only one of

these appears to be of significance. This is a weak east-west

zone that may Indicate the extension of the carbonate zone. The

main gold-bearing quartz vein did not show up in the survey but

this is not surprising as the sulphides present are very minor

and would not likely respond to an electromagnetic survey.

The results of the present surveys should be closely

correlated with all drill data available to determine if further

drilling is warranted.

Respectfully submitted,
