Rovers and Rangers Unit

SCOUTS AND GUIDES REPORT FOR THE YEAR 2019-2020

7 Rovers of GFGC Devanahalli participated Map Reading camp held at Dr.

Anne Besant Scouts and Guides State training center from 07.01.2019 to

11.01.2019. Rovers had a knowledge as Mapping is an important item in the

progressive and attractive training program for Scouts/Guides, Rover and

Rangers. Maps provide an efficient and unique means for reading and

understanding the earth.

Rangers and Rovers of GFGC Devanahalli participated and served duty in Election Polling during

May 2019 around 12 Rangers and Rovers actively participated in creating awareness to public

about the uses of EVP and supporting and guiding the public to vote in polling stations.

Rangers and Rovers of GFGC Devanahalli participated in Nipun preparation held at

Anne Besant Scouts and Guides State training center from 01.11.2019 to

03.11.2019 about 7 Rangers and 5 Rovers attended the training and gained the

knowledge about how to prepare for Nipun Exam.

Ranger and Rover of GFGC Devanahalli took part in community during the

lockdown period due to pandemic disease Covid – 19. By creating awareness

among the public by distributing the home made masks ( self-made),

sanitizers / hand wash, provisions to people who live in road side and street.

All Ranger / Rover volunteers gave awareness programme to the public in

shops, clinics and to publics : the attempted / reached the importance of use

ofsanitizers

/ handwash, masks and how to prevent themselves from the pandemic disease

Covid–19.

WORLD

ENVIRONMENT

DAY 2020

All Rangers of G.F.G.C. Devanahalli took part in “WORLD

ENVIRONMENT DAY 2020” by denoting plants and planting to make their

contribution in Greenry Environment. Task was assigned to all Rangers to

take part in World Environment Day, which they successfully completed.

A visit to Avala Betta near Chikkabalapur was organized by G.F.G.C Scouts and Guides dated

08.02.2020, both Rangers and Rovers participated along with Rover Leader Dr.Ravi Kumar SM

actively in One day Trekking cum Cleanliness Programme. Rangers and Rovers were given

awareness of medicinal plants importance and Natural benefits to us in our daily life.

Rangers and Rovers of GFGC Devanahalli participated in 4 days Disaster

Management and First Aid Awareness camp held from 30.01.2020 to 02.02.2020.

Both Rovers and Rangers around 10 along with Rover Leader Dr.Ravikumar SM

successfully completed the training and gained the knowledge of First Aid

awareness to be given during minor injuries and to actively participated during

Disaster Management.
