On Thursday evening the expert training staff from D1 Sports Training and Therapy will conduct a performance enhancing seminar for all campers. D1 Sports is continuously developing and refining the most current training techniques, enabling athletes to increase their overall speed, strength, explosiveness, agility and sport-specific ability. Their speed development curriculum techniques were developed and refined by strength and conditioning coaches who are well-known as leaders in the industry.

Archie Manning,Executive Director:Leadership, dedication and commitment have enabled Archie Manning to succeed both on and off the football field. Archie oversees every aspect of the Manning Passing Academy and makes all the audibles when it comes to teaching and coaching. Manning’s background is truly reflective of the ideals and dedication necessary to compete on the football field.

At Ole Miss, where he is considered one of the greatest players ever to wear a Rebel uniform, he was the recipient of the Walter Camp Award and was selected to the All-American, All-SEC and All-South teams. As a professional Manning was the 2nd player selected in the 1971 NFL draft and went on to a brilliant 14 year career that included stints with the New Orleans Saints, Houston Oilers, and Minnesota vikings. As the New Orleans Saints field general, Archie was named league MvP in `78 and was twice selected to the Pro Bowl.

As a community leader, he has supported numerous non-profits and charities over the years in both Louisiana and Mississippi while continuing to assist those who share his love for the game of football. In June, he was awarded the National World War II Museum‘s - 2018 American Spirit Medallion honor, an award that recognizes longtime dedication to civic and charitable causes. Past recipeints include former President George H.W. Bush, Tom Brokaw, Gen. Colin Powell and Henry Kissinger. In 2013 he became the eighth recipient of the NFL’s prestigious “Pat Summerall Award” given to an individual who has demonstrated through their career the character, integrity and leadership both on and off the job.

Archie is Chairman of the National Football Foundation College Hall of Fame and a member of the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and serves as an active member of the Allstate Sugar Bowl championship committee.

The former All-American quarterback at Mississippi was named as the recipient of the Davey O’Brien Legends Award which recognizes a QB who has made significant contributions to football, distinguished himself as an extraordinary leader and demonstrated exemplary conduct and reputation on and off the field.

A portion of the Manning Passing Academy proceeds is donated to Special Olympics Louisiana and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Archie and Peyton have written a book entitled “Manning: A Father, His Sons and A Football Legacy” and also have a national quarterback award named after the family. The Manning Award, hosted by the Sugar Bowl Committee, in honor of Archie, Peyton and Eli is the only national quarterback award that considered the candidates post-season play.

For almost four decades, the Manning family and the quarterback position have been practically synonymous with one another. As such, their summer vacations always revolve around the annual Manning Passing Academy, a family-owned and managed football camp that embraces the basic fundamentals of football while catering to the offensive skill positions of RB, TE, WR…and of course QB. Archie and his wife Olivia (a former Homecoming Queen at Ole Miss) reside in New Orleans are the proud grandparents of six grandchildren by Cooper, Peyton and Eli.

Cooper Manning,Senior Associate director:Cooper was a two-time All-State wide receiver at Isidore Newman School in New Orleans and played in the Louisiana High School All-Star Game as well as participating on two state championship basketball teams.

He was heavily recruited by Division I schools out of high school including Texas, virginia, and Ole Miss before deciding to attend his father’s alma mater (Ole Miss) on a football scholarship. A career-ending injury forced the Rebel wide receiver to the sidelines, but his love for the game has never diminished.

Coop’s experience in high school, college, and professional sports has made him a natural fit for the broadcast booth and he has hosted and or cohosted numerous projects over the years, including both television and radio shows during football season on WWL in New Orleans.

One of the most popular staff members among the campers, he is never too busy to lend instruction or a helping hand. He is always the first to arrive at camp and the last to leave. He prides himself on his ability to entertain campers after practice as he hosts a live Q&A session with all the college players on staff.

He is currently a Principal at AJ Capital Partners, a vertically-integrated real estate development and investment firm. As the Senior Managing Director, Cooper focuses on business development and investor relations. In 2014, A.J. Capital launched the Graduate Hotels brand, a hand-crafted collection of hotels in university-anchored markets across the country.

There are currently 11 open and operating hotels across the country with an additional eight under development and slated to open by 2020.During the NFL season, Cooper hosts “The Manning Hour (Minus 58 Minutes)” on FOx Sports NFL Sunday.

He is active with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, The Academy of Sacred Heart and his alma mater Isidore Newman School.

A University of Mississippi graduate, he resides in New Orleans with his wife and three children.

Cooper remains the most handsome Manning and has no plans of losing that title.

Peyton Manning,

Senior Associate director:Retirement from the NFL after a stellar 18-year career, hasn’t slowed Peyton down a step as he has continued to be active in his community, his high school and college alma maters as well as shaping young lives of football players looking to learn more about the game.

Last December, Peyton was inducted into the National Football Foundation College Football Hall of Fame as a member of its Class of 2017.

Manning climaxed his NFL record setting career leading the Denver Broncos to a victory in Super Bowl 50.

Regarded as one of the best quarterbacks to have ever played the game, Peyton has set many NFL major career records that would make him a first ballot selection for Canton.

Selected with the first overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts, Manning quickly made his presence known, setting five different NFL rookie records, including most TDs in a season and was named to the NFL All-Rookie First Team.

Manning continued his record setting pace in the 2014 season becoming the NFL’s all-time touchdown leader with 530 TD’s. He also led the Broncos to the playoffs for the third consecutive year and was selected to his 14th Pro Bowl. He finished the regular season fourth in passing yards (4,727) and second in touchdowns (39).

He was the recipient of the 2015 Bart Starr Award, given annually to a player who exemplifies character and leadership on and off the field. It is one of two annual NFL awards whose recipient is chosen by players at the end of the regular season.

Manning enjoyed arguably his greatest season in 2013, earning his fifth MvP award and making his third trip to the Super Bowl while setting NFL single-season records in passing yards (5,477), touchdown passes (55) and quarterback rating (115.1).

He also set Broncos single-season records in those categories, while his completions, yards and touchdown passes were career highs. The Associated Press selected him as the 2013 Offensive Player of the year and also was the 2013 FedEx Air Player of the year.

In 2012, Manning took over as QB of the Denver Broncos after spending the first 14 years of his illustrious career in Indianapolis and didn’t miss a beat after recovering from neck surgery in 2011, leading the Broncos to an AFC best 13-3 record. He also ranked second among starting quarterbacks with a passer rating of 105.8, third in touchdowns with 37 and accumulated 4,659 passing yards.

He set Bronco single-season passing records in nearly every major passing category. For his accomplishments, he was recognized by the Associated Press as the 2012 NFL Comeback Player of the year and also was named to his 12th Pro Bowl, his 6th as a first-team selection.Before missing the 2011 season due to injury, Manning started 16 regular season games for 13 consecutive seasons and earned his 11th Pro Bowl selection in 2010.

As the Super Bowl xLI MvP, he has completed more passes, thrown for more yards and touchdowns in a career-opening 13-year span than any NFL player in history and has torched all the NFL, AFC, and Colts record-books in the process, won back-to-back MvP honors for second time in his career (2003-04 and 2008-09), which in itself is a record, and in 2009, he was listed by the Sporting News as the No. 1 player in the NFL.

He is the only NFL QB to ever throw for 3,000+ yards in his first 13 seasons of his career, holds NFL records for consecutive seasons with 4,000+ yards in a career, and the Colts’ all-time career passing yards and passing touchdowns leader.

As a collegian at the University of Tennessee, he was a four-year starter, saw action in 48 games with 45 starts, set 33 school records, eight SEC records and two NCAA marks, and ended his college career owning SEC record for wins as starting QB (39-6), completions (863), passing yards (11,201), total offense (11,020), and completion percentage (62.49%).

Ranked 3rd in NCAA history in passing yards and total offense as well as posted a 26-4 record as a starter in SEC games, Peyton is a three-time Academic All-America honoree, started 13 games as a senior and led his team to the SEC Championship and an 11-2 record, and won the Sullivan Award for the nation’s top amateur athlete, Davey O’Brien Award for Top QB, Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award for top senior and GTE Academic All-America 1st Team.

Manning was selected the 2001, 2004 and 2005 Walter Payton/Indianapolis Colts NFL Man-of-the-year for his participation in community affairs and in 2005 was selected the Walter Payton NFL Man of the year.

He attended Newman High School and was an All-American, All-State and All-District pick at QB. Peyton and his wife Ashley are the proud parents of twins, Mosley and Marshall.

Eli Manning,Senior Associate director:One of the iron man players in the league, on and off the field. Eli will be entering his 15th NFL season and has started at QB for the New york Giants in 214 of the last 215 regular season games. He ranks second all-time in the NFL as a starting quarterback with 210 regular season starts.

Following in his brother’s footsteps, Eli was a first draft pick (2004 Draft), played in multiple Super Bowl’s and was also selected a Walter Payton NFL Man of the year Award recipient.

In the past 11 years, Eli has won two Super Bowls and earned two Super Bowl MvP honors. In 2008, Eli led the Giants to victory in Super Bowl xLII and was named MvP (a year after Peyton won MvP). In 2012, Eli staked his claim among the premiere NFL passers when he led the Giants to their second Super Bowl title and also claimed his second Super Bowl MvP award after completing 30-of-40 passes for 296 yards and a TD in Super Bowl xLvI. He joins Phil Simms and Otis Anderson as the only Giants who have won the MvP award and the only Giants quarterback to win it twice.

He is also the Giant’s all-time leading passer and owns six all-time records (att., comp., yards, TD’s, most 300-yd games and Int.) He is the first Giants quarterback to throw for more than 3,000 yards in 13 consecutive seasons the first to have six 4,000-yard seasons and the first to throw at least 20 touchdown passes 8 years in a row.

In all but one of his 13 years as the full-time starter, Manning has thrown for at least 3,000 yards. In 2011, he threw for a career-high 4,933 yards.Manning played in his first Pro Bowl following the 2008 season and after the 2012 season he was named to his 3rd Pro Bowl and threw two TD’s in the 62-35 win over the AFC. He has participated in four pro- bowls.Overall, his record as a starting QB is 100-98 (.507) in the regular season and 8-3 (.727) in the postseason.

At Ole Miss, Eli set or tied 45 single game, season, and career records.In his senior year, Eli led the Rebels to a 10-3 record and a 31-28 SBC Cotton Bowl victory over the Oklahoma State Cowboys in 2003, won the Maxwell Award, given to the nation’s top collegiate player, the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, given to the nation’s top senior quarterback and The Walter Camp Foundation Player of the year Award.Eli was the SEC Player of the year and earned the Conerly Trophy as the top collegiate player in the state of Mississippi.

Eli joined his brother Peyton by volunteering in the wake of Hurricane Katrina and together they assisted in the delivery of 30,000 pounds of water, Gatorade, baby formula, diapers, and pillows to the people of New Orleans.

He championed the construction of “The Eli Manning Children’s Clinics” at the UM Hospital for Children raising $2.5 million and for the past six years has hosted the “Guiding Eyes For The Blind Golf Classic”, the oldest and largest charity event in Westchester County, Ny. He also has been chairman of the annual Walk for Babies, a flagship event for the March of Dimes.

Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, he attended Newman High School and was an All-American, All-State and All-District pick at QB.

Sorry, but due to insurance issues we are unable to provide on-campus housing to anyone other than the Resident camper and then only for the dates that camp is in session.

We do welcome all spectators during the practice sessions but [for legal and safety reasons] we ask that you refrain from entering the dining hall, dormitories or auditoriums.

The physical address of the camp office is: Ellender Hall, 201 Afton Drive, Thibodaux, LA 70301.

Check-in is between 1pm and 4pm on Thursday at Stopher Gymnasium located on the campus of Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La. There is no need to arrive any earlier than 1pm as three hours will be plenty of time to process all of our campers (see Daily Schedule). If you arrive late you should report directly to the Camp Office at Ellender Hall.

Check-out will commence after the morning practice on Sunday between 11am – Noon.

THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OF DEPOSITS! The $100 non-refundable deposit is a guarantee of your availability to attend this football camp. Based upon your guarantee we hire 125 professional coaches to maintain our better than 10:1 camper to coach ratio. The administrative cost of running a camp is affected every time a camper signs up and then cancels. The Manning Passing Academy conducts evening speaker sessions headlined by professionals who emphasize character building, academics and the importance of health in the sport. The camp’s highly-structured daily schedule and regimen is always topped off with our evening speaker sessions imparting the importance of education and teamwork and conveying that the most successful athlete should also embrace a balance of physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well-being.

PRO PLAYER FORuM:This must see forum is presented by our in-residence NFL players and coaches who will provide a unique insight what benefits can received and what sacrifices must be made to make it to the professional level. And also the harsh reality of how few actually make it to that level which truly reveals how important a college degree is.

COOPER’s COLLEGE COLLOquIuM:Everything you wanted to know about college football but were afraid to ask. The Colloquium has traditionally been the camper’s favorite seminar. Eldest son Cooper Manning emcees a panel of accomplished college football players and conducts an interactive question and answer session between the high school athletes and the collegians.

The ultimate purpose of our football camp is to create an environment of greater understanding of, and proficiency with, fundamentals, techniques, skills, motivation and sportsmanship necessary for success at the individual offensive skill positions. We also serve to expand the overall knowledge and strategy of offensive play and defensive coverage.For almost four decades the Manning family and the quarterback position have been practically synonymous with one another. Their summer vacations always revolve the annual Manning Passing Academy, a family-owned and managed football camp, that embraces the basic fundamentals of football while catering to the offensive skill positions of RB, TE, WR and of course QB.

The Manning Passing Academy is owned and operated by the first family of football; Archie, Cooper, Peyton and Eli Manning...and is an integral part of their lives. As such their summer vacations always revolve around the annual football camp. The Mannings are always the first to arrive and the last to leave. The concept of this camp sprang from the concern that even the most basic fundamentals of throwing and catching a football were either seriously lacking or virtually non- existent during a youngster’s developmental years (high school). It was this concern that motivated the Mannings to bring together some of the most successful and brightest coaches and players from the professional, college, and high school ranks each summer in Louisiana. And although the Manning name has been practically synonymous with the quarterback position for almost four decades...the MPA is not just for QBs.

The MPA reserves the right to make ALL room and roommate assignments. We feel that campers will benefit from the maturation process and it assists us in maintaining discipline in the residence halls. Roommates will be paired up according to their grade and housed in separate dorms that have adult supervision 24 hours a day. No exceptions.

All Overnight campers will stay in one of six residence halls on the Nicholls State campus. Bedding is NOT furnished (sleeping bags are recommended), and you need to provide your own towels, wash cloths and any other toiletry articles (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.) that you may need. The MPA reserves the right to make all roommate assignments. All meals will be provided by the University’s outstanding dining service. Overnight Campers will be provided with three meals on Friday and Saturday (breakfast, lunch and dinner), and one meal on Sunday (breakfast). Day Campers will be provided with two meals on Friday and Saturday (lunch and dinner). All campers will participate in the dinner meal on Thursday provided by McDonald’s evening prior to orientation.Campers will be able to purchase snack foods and pizza during their free time in the evening at one of the several concessions that are set-up inside the residence halls by Nicholls State’s dining services.Although there are obviously no accommodations for commuter campers...a shower facility will be made available after each practice session. Towels, wash clothes and other toiletry items (soap, shampoo, etc.) are the responsibility of the campers.

Due to NCAA rules, all campers must be between the ages of those entering eighth grade, seniors-to-be in high school and high school graduates are NOT allowed to attend. Campers will be matched with and against other campers of the same age level. Those campers who come individually or in small groups will be combined to form their own team during Passing League so that everyone can enjoy the team experience.

We welcome and encourage coaches who want to bring the offensive skill players on their teams. Players from the same high school will automatically be grouped together on the same team by grade. you will have the opportunity to have your squad practice together during passing league competition in the evenings.

All campers are broken up into 7-on-7 teams for Passing League contests. Teams and groups that come together will be afforded the opportunity to play together. For those who come individually, you will be grouped with campers of the same age. Players will play a variety of positions on both offense and defense to enhance their awareness and understanding of the game. Everyone plays and everyone has fun.

An AIRPORT SHUTTLE service is available for those campers flying into New Orleans International Airport (also known as Louis Armstrong Airport/MSy). Costs are $30 each way or $60 for roundtrip service. The service is offered by an outside company and is only available on the first day of camp (Thursday) and the last day of camp (Sunday). A reservation form is available on our web site:www.manningpassingacademy.com (see SHUTTLE in the menu) to secure your spot. you can mail or fax the form to the camp office with flight and payment information (credit card or check). Payment and reservations must be made in advance, space is limited and there are no walk-ups. A cancellation fee of $10 will apply.When campers arrive at the New Orleans Airport on Thursday they will be met by a MPA staff member in the luggage area and directed to take the Hilton New Orleans Airport Shuttle across the street to the Hilton. There campers will be able to relax in a room with sofas and complimentary refreshments while they wait for their shuttle’s departure. Shuttles typically run on the hour starting at 10am. Shuttles will drop off directly at the camp registration area at Nicholls State University. On the return trip on Sunday, campers will depart campus beginning about 12 Noon and will be dropped off directly at their respective airline at the New Orleans International Airport.

The Academy utilizes all the residence halls, practice fields, theaters, meeting rooms, and dining facilities that Nicholls State University has to offer. Everything is within a close walking distance (5 minutes) of each other and everything is first class.

This is a non-contact football camp and therefore there are NO equipment requirements, but there are minimum needs. If you are a quarterback, you MUST bring your own football with your name printed on its surface. Campers should bring both grass-cleated shoes and tennis shoes in case of inclement weather. Mouthpieces are always recommended and encouraged. And all campers should also bring a minimum of a three-times-daily change of socks, shorts and T-shirts.Every camper will receive several T-shirts, caps, an equipment bag, a pair of shorts, key lanyard, squeeze bottle, a Wilson football and more. Thibodaux Regional Medical Center is the official hospital and sports medicine provider of the Manning Passing Academy. Athletic trainers are present at all on-field events, and are on 24-hour call for the duration of camp to manage medical issues. Sports Medicine Trained

Orthopedists and Primary Care Physicians are also available if additional care is needed.

In the event of a medical emergency, Thibodaux Regional’s close proximity to the camp allows for quick response and expedited treatment. Heat illness is of primary concern in southeast Louisiana. The Sports Medicine Center staff is well trained in recognizing the signs and symptoms of such conditions. Hydration is a top priority in an effort to keep campers well and

performing at their best.

The on call athletic trainer will be located at Ellender Hall each night between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am. Refer to the following chart for details:
