When I met with Matt there were several things that I discovered needed changing

with my resume. For starters I used a template for my resume, while he said this was okay

it sometimes lacks originality. There could be several other resumes submitted using the

exact same template. Matt said that using a template is alright for starters, however I could

edit it to make it my own as well. Since the resume that I used was a template the font they

used was bright blue. He said that I needed to change that too because not everyone may be

able to read that color. In my education section I did not put things in order from most

current to past. I put them according the oldest date and then so on. This was something

that needed to be changed. Also for the work history I didn't have enough bullets for each

one. I only used one bullet for each.

After I made some of the changes that Matt suggested I could see a huge change in

my resume. When I look at my resume now, it reads a lot smoother. I got rid of the random

lines that the template used and it makes it a lot easier to read. It's also not as straining on

the eyes. I used more bullets which helped with the organization of my resume as well. I

added three bullets to each job description to add to my list of personal skills. Overall, I'm

much happier with my resume and I like the way it looks now. At first I wasn't sure about

how the meeting with Matt was going to go, but it was actually a very helpful tool and I

learned a lot about how to make my resume seem as professional as possible.
