Job Description To ensure that work produced by welders meets specification for quality and safety. Performing tests on welds to determine whether welded joints can handle stress, along with determining the quality of the weld. I am skilled to supervise and train welding inspectors; I am also trained to prioritize work according to the deadline. I encompass excellent communication skills. I was responsible for ensuring that all safety and protective equipment policies are followed in the work area as well as training the staff in the safety programs. I ensured that the processes of welds are in accordance to federal regulations with the help of weld maps. I prepared paperwork for the company and the client by filling out related forms/daily reports. I assisted with training of new welding inspectors in the field. I also have three years of experience working in compressor stations for Dominion and Columbia Gas services.

Title Laborer/Welder’s helper

Job Description I assisted in the construction and restoration of new and existing natural gas compressor stations. I conducted daily duties as a laborer, including but not limited to: proper and safe operation of electric and gas powered water pumps used to pump water for excavated work areas, assisting in the excavation of trenches used for gas lines and electrical cables, maintaining upkeep of tool and equipment trailers along with assisting in the upkeep of the entire location to ensure all materials and equipment were in safe and proper locations. While assisting in excavating, my duties were spotting for buried obstructions and informing operator of any obstructions found, I also assisted in proper backfill of

excavated areas. Backfilling consisted of spotting for operator to ensure nothing was damaged during backfill and using a compactor to ensure proper and safe compaction desired by the gas company. While labeled as a laborer, duties also included operating various pieces of heavy equipment that consisted of: man lifts, excavators, skid steers, sky tracs, fork trucks, dump trucks, front end loaders, and backhoes. All tasks were always completed while utilizing all proper PPE such as: hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe work shoes, gloves, along with any other PPE that was required for the task at hand. As a welder’s helper, duties consisted of some of the same as a laborer, but also ensuring that welding rig was properly equipped for the day. Welding rigs were to be stocked with all hand tools that were going to be used that day along with welding electrodes, grinding wheels, wire brush wheels, oxygen and acetylene bottles, and any other equipment that was needed. Other duties included: assisting with cleaning and preparing materials to be welded, and brushing and grinding welds that were being made to make certain no slag or other contaminants were left to be trapped in next weld pass. All duties were completed while using all proper PPE.

Job Description I assisted in horizontal drilling for natural gas. As a roustabout, my duties included: ensuring rig was properly greased and oiled to allow for safe and efficient operation, making sure all hand tools needed were in safe and proper working condition, along with and other tasks that were given by senior rig hands. Duties as a chain hand consisted of that of a roustabout along with ensuring all belts on rig were in a safe operating condition along with maintaining upkeep of all mud pumps and hoses. As a derrick hand, my duties included making sure all duties of roustabout and chain hands were completed in a safe and timely manner. The derrick hand was also in charge of daily lunchbox safety topics and any other safety issues that needed to be addressed. The derrick hand also was to ensure proper upkeep of all high pressure lines and valves to keep them in correct working order. All duties on an oil rig are completed using all proper PPE required for the task at hand.
