IntroductionIn 2009 Reading Matters supported more one-to-one reading partnerships in Sheffield thanever before. There are now hundreds of reading mentors helping struggling readersacross the City. We wanted to celebrate all this great work with an activity everyone couldtake part in, and this is the result; a book full of character profiles.

We hope you enjoy it, and if you are inspired, there is blank character profile at the back foryou to have a go.
