Daily ScheduleClass schedules will be released through Skyward by Friday, August 28. Students will access their Google Meet links through Google Classroom.

1st hour begins at 7:40 AM

Make sure your Chromebook is fully charged

Log into your Portageps Google Account

Virtually Attend each class by going to Google Meet

This can be accessed by going to your teachers’ Google Classroom

Attendance will be taken at the beginning of each hour. If you are having trouble logging in, make sure to E-mail your teacher

*During the hour-long lunch period students will eat and be provided a movement break and down time.

Virtual EtiquetteWhen you join a Google Meet, make sure that your microphone is muted.

Good classroom etiquette is expected at this point: Teachers will go over their classroom expectations.

A couple of tips include,

-No Phones

-Be in an environment that is school professional like a desk or kitchen counter

-Be ready to learn and participate

What class might look likeYour teacher will have unique ways to teach their virtual class.

Some strategies may include:

Whole class instruction with homework

Smaller breakout sessions for collaboration

Independent work on project or creative self-driven assignment

In Building SupportStudents will be doing online curriculum while in the building

Students can use the building WI-FI

Students will be in a supervised large space area.

When Students Enter the BuildingStudents must have masks on when they enter the building. They will need to keep masks on for the day.

When students enter the building they will be guided to their location by what grade they are in.

Students will be Cohorted into large space areas supervised by support staff. Students will be seated and social distanced. Due to health safety, students will stay in 1 location for the day. They will also need to stay in the same seat.

Academic Wings will not be open at this time, students will not use lockers. They may bring their backpacks with them to their work location.

Follow Your Class ScheduleOnce you are seated in front of your charged computer, you will log on to google classroom and enter your 1st hour google meet.

Attendance will be taken, and you will begin your class activities with your teacher. This process will be repeated throughout your class schedule.

Students will be able to take a stretch break and use the bathroom during break time. Bathrooms will be assigned to each cohorted group.

School LunchSchool Lunch will be available Monday-Thursday

Cohorted groups will go down to the Cafeteria and will be socially distanced

All transactions should be done electronically to your send money to school account

Students will be able to take their mask off while seated at their lunch table to eat

Masks must be put back on when students get up to walk away from their table

At the end of the day DismissalAt the end of the day students will exit the building to their pickup location. Each grade will utilize their designated entrance and exit.
