The plein air workshop in Cape May with Joseph Sweeney was a wonderful experiencefor me. I enjoyed working with Joe and the other painters. Joe was always availablethroughout the weekend to provide advice and tips. Each painting session began with ademonstration to help us focus on the prominent features of the scene. He was veryhelpful to me personally as I worked in pastel, which is relatively new medium for me. I certainly hope to avail myself of future painting opportunities with Joe.

Explore the visual language of picture books inthis hands-on illustration workshop with Caldecott Medal-winning book creator, DavidWiesner. Picture books are about how images work together, relate to each other, andconvey information to create a whole that isgreater than the individual elements.
