EASTER SUNDAY OF THE RESURRECTION OF THE LORD PAGE 2

PASTOR’S COLUMN

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

“The Lord has risen! Let us unite ourselves to Him! …” As we rejoice in the victory of Christ over the devil, over death, over sin, we are over-whelmed by the beauty of our Savior! He is the source of all goodness, and His love for all of us is beyond all descriptions. He brings peace to us in the midst of this conflictive world.

“He went about doing good and healing all those oppressed by the devil …” Acts of the Apostles

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good … for His mercy endures forever ...” Psalm 118

Let us ask for the gift of prayer. May we seek Him always, specially by becoming people of the Eucharist. Let us make our participation in Holy Mass, the center of our lives, not only Sun-day, but also when we can, on weekdays.

“Seek what is above … where Christ is sealed at the right hand of God …” Colossians

We have been given the Good News! May we dedicate our lives to bringing others to Christ! We can do this through our sacrifices, our prayer life and by serving them.

“Do not be amazed! You seek Jesus of Nazareth, the crucified. He has been raised … He is not here. He is going before You … you will see Him … as He told you …” Mark

Monsignor Lorenzo Miranda

COMMIT TO BUILDING FAMILY VALUES AND PROTECTING VULNERABLE CHILDREN

Children are exposed to many words, expressions, ac-ons, and beliefs through their experiences. This is how

they learn to become adults, and learn how to live in the world around them. Children turn to their parents for guidance. Strong family values modeled at home help children sustain their faith and teach them to live as chil-dren of God. Recommit to your families - listen to your children, model good behavior and virtue, and instruct them in faith. Pray to Mary for help, and ask her for guid-ance in raising your children as she did her Son. OUR LADY SCHOOL NEWS My brothers and sisters,

What a big surprise it would be for any of us if one day, while visiting the tomb of a family member in the cemetery we find it open, without the body inside and hear from other people that our beloved has risen, that they are no longer dead but alive! What joy we would feel in being able to meet them, not as a ghost that frightens us in the middle of the night, but in the peace of midday, and to eat and laugh again with them and to enjoy their presence! That was the experience of the Apostles, the experience of the first church. Jesus was their master, their friend, the one who forgave their sins, the one who gave them new security and light in their lives. They believed that Jesus was the prom-ised Messiah and yet they had to contemplate the unjust death of Christ who was executed as a criminal. The Resurrection of Christ is an invitation to transform our existence, so that our words and our works will be a path that lead to the Kingdom of God. Blessings, Deacon Carlos

COLUMNA DEL PASTOR

DOMINGO DE PASCUA DE RESURRECCIÓN PÁGINA 6

Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas en Cristo,

“¡El Señor ha resucitado! ¡Unámonos a El!…”

Colosenses
