Dear Parents/Caregivers
COUNTRY FAIR
Where do we begin? There was such overwhelming support from our school community with
a real sense of everyone pitching in, making our Country Fair such a great success. Special
mention needs to be made of so many people – a task too difficult to do in this newsletter. At
this stage it looks as though takings from yesterday will be approximately $22,000 - $23,000
which is amazing! A huge thank you to everyone who supported such a wonderful day.
Jennifer & Jo
As there are still several raffle cards to be returned we have postponed drawing the raffles
under Police supervision until Friday. Results will be in next week’s newsletter.
PLEASE RETURN ALL RAFFLE CARDS BY THURSDAY.
See over for the Silent Auction results.

MARAE VISIT – Seniors
We slowly walked onto the Marae as the caller Heidi,
welcomed us on. Following the speeches we had to hongi.
We then presented the Tangata Whenua with a koha of a
native tree. There was a prayer before we ate. We then
worked in workshops which were poi, rakau sticks, flax
weaving and Taiaha. I loved going to the Marae. It was a
great experience and I really do hope that I can go back
when I’m older.
