Children will have four coaching sessions of half an hour each. Instructors are from the RASA School of Dance and will be focusing on Hip Hop dance during their teaching. The cost per child is $5.00 which will be charged to the Term 2 account. The school will be subsidising this activity as we feel that it provides a great opportunity for children to have a “taste” of something different. ROBOTICS Last Friday the children and Miss Lewis from the IT (Information Technology) club enjoyed a Robotics workshop run by Phillipa Dick from Hatch Education
Here is a report written by Charlie Brough; “Yes” I say as William and I get our robot to go forwards. We have been at IT club for a hour programing lego EV3S. We spent most of our time on
the obstacle course. We got it to go forward for four turns exactly then we had to turn and park. Next we had to drive forward park reverse and drive to the finish. We only managed to get to the turn and park part. I had lots of fun programming and problem solving. The children from the IT club will be involved in different workshops over this term run by Phillipa. We are already looking forward to her return visit as our first workshop was such a hit! Visit http://www.hatch.education/ to find out more.

CHILDREN ARRIVING BEFORE 8.30AM A reminder about procedure for children arriving at school before 8.30am - Kelly Club provides supervision for children from 7.30am – see information sheet from the office for costs/times/occasional bookings, etc. Children who are not booked in at Kelly Club, but arrive at school before 8.30am will need to wait on the courts, as they are not permitted into classes before then. This is a valuable time for teachers as they prepare for the day. Your support in this matter is appreciated. CHANGE OF BELL TIMES FOR
LUNCHTIME A reminder that we are trialling a change of bell time at lunchtime, following favourable reports from other schools who have implemented the change. At 12.40pm the bell will ring for lunchtime play. At 1.10pm the bell for eating lunch will ring. Children will have 20 minutes to eat lunch before starting afternoon school.
CHILDREN LEAVING EARLY If children need to leave school early for a particular reason, please send a note or email the class teacher, so that teachers are aware of the reason.
