BRUCE GREY CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD – VISION STATEMENT
Committed to a vibrant Catholic education, we ensure quality learning experiences through community partner-
ships that nurture each student in mind, body and spirit and embrace the teachings of Christ, giving witness to
Gospel values.
Monday, March 2nd 2015 Lundi le 2 mars 2015
Lent is the one time of year we focus especially on expressing true sorrow to God for our sins.
It is one thing to say "I'm Sorry", "I Love You," but another to really mean it.
Lent gives us a chance to "Prove It," by actions of piety, prayer, penance,
fasting, acts of charity....

ICS would like to send out a thank you
to the Port Elgin and Kincardine Bulk
Barns’ in care of Trish Borho. Many
times throughout the school year, Mrs.
Borho donates items to the school for
the many activities we plan. For example, all the candy
for our spirit week candy gram activities has been do-
nated by the Bulk Barn. Most recently, chocolate hearts
were donated to the school for our Valentine candy
gram student council spirit week activity. Over the
years, popcorn, hot chocolate, pasta, decorations and
countless other things have come from Mrs. Borho.
Thank you to Trish Borho and the Bulk Barn for your
contributions to our school activities. Merci Beaucoup!

Christ Jesus”
Dear God,
During this Lenten season,
I pray in a special way
For all people who need the healing and compassion of Your Son, Jesus.
Help me to be His hands, His eyes, His ears, and His heart to them.
Inspire me always to do for others what I would want them to do for me.
Guide me to learn about the needs of our world.
May Jesus’ Spirit shine through me in my service to the poor and needy.
Amen.

Compassion is following the example of Jesus the healer, who acted with deep care and concern for the people who were hurt or troubled. When we are compassionate we reach out in love to assist those who need our help.
