Due to the present Covid situation, this year’s conference will be held as a Webinar.

thOur 5 Conference will continue to provide a comprehensive coverage of the rapidly developing field of Critical Care Nephrology and CRRT. It highlights the recent advances in our understanding of pathophysiology of critical illness, acute kidney injury, emerging strategies in the management of sepsis, multiorgan failure, development and use of biomarkers, technical advances in CRRT and the appropriate utilization of these techniques. This year’s program presents exciting new developments and evidence for assessing critically ill patients and advances in the global burden of AKI CRRT. A mix of invited lectures, controversies, interactive workshops, tutorials, and panel discussions are planned to continue the tradition of multidisciplinary interactions.

JSS MEDICAL COLLEGE - NEPHROLOGY DEPARTMENT

The Department of Nephrology at JSS Hospital, is in service for more than two decades. The department is headed by Prof Manjunath S Shetty, who is fortunate to be trained under Dr. M K Mani, one of India’s distinguished nephrologists. The department has the distinction of having carried out the first renal transplant in Karnataka, outside Bangalore and serves both adult and paediatric patients since inception. JSS Haemodialysis unit started in 1991 . The department has been offering CRRT and SLED to acute kidney injury patients . peritoneal dialysis for neonates are also being done. The department has a good continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis and renal transplant program. The center has 30 dialysis units and caters to about 100 patients every day. It is one of the popular dialysis center in and around Mysore known for service, excellence and quality care.
