  • OUTLINE

    Scripture: 1 Peter 2:1-12

    Text: 1 Peter 2:2-3

    Sermon: Nurturing Spiritual Growth

    Introduction:

The nurture imagery of 1 Peter 2

The role of the officebearers in nurturing the children of God

    Nurturing spiritual growth

Our officebearers help to insure we are fed

Our spiritual nutrition comes from Gods word

Our identity goal is expressed as a special people of God (1 Pet. 2:9)

    Application

Office bearers - dont neglect to feed Gods people; help us to be living stones in the spiritual house

Congregation dont neglect the opportunities of spiritual nurture, as Peter explains in this passage, we should lead lives that lead others to Christ!
