Happy New Year!
2013 has sped by at lightning speed. It is hard to believe
that 2014 is here! I praise God for what we have seen Him do
in the past twelve months. We have seen West Conroe grow in
both number and spirit. God has blessed us with a great year
financially. We added a new Executive Pastor, a Student
Ministry Associate, and a Missions Associate. A new 7,500
square foot education building was completed and is almost
entirely paid for. God used us in a record number of mission
projects. We celebrated 49 new believers as we watched
them follow the Lord in baptism. I am so thankful to be a part
of this church family. Now we look forward to see what He will
do among us this year!
Bethlehem City Celebration – January 12!
If you served in Bethlehem City on any team, you need to
be at the celebration. It will be held at 5:00 in the Student
Ministry Building starting with BBQ for dinner. Following dinner,
we’ll share stories of BC and some special surprises as we
celebrate what God did this year. If you have not already
signed up during Bethlehem City, please call Brenda in my
office and let her know how many will be coming.
Congratulations Brenda Arnold!
January 1, 2014 marked the 20th anniversary of Brenda’s
tenure on staff. When I came to West Conroe, she was serving
both the music and pastoral offices. For the last 10 years she
has served as my assistant and office manager. There is not a
member or guest of West Conroe that has not been served in
some way by Brenda. She not only is highly skilled, she also has
an intuitive sense about what things need to be done that
haven’t been thought about. I believe at times she can read
my mind! I thank God for her ministry, and I know you do, too.
We will recognize her in both services on Sunday, January 19,
and have planned a special reception at 3pm in the Garden
Room that afternoon.
