3R Mechanical is a mechanical contractor specializing in commercial plumbing, heating and air systems. Larry Jarrett, President of 3R Mechanical, has been with the company for 19 years.

feet of Viega insulated panels, along with ViegaPEX™ Barrier tubing, Viega stainless manifolds and manifold cabinets, for the hangar’s radiant � oor heating and snow melting systems.

Kansas is known for high winds, and Jarrett was concerned that windy conditions would be a challenge during the installation. But Jarrett’s team didn’t have any problems installing Viega insulated panels.

The airplane hangar, located at the south end of Jabara Airport, serves as storage for business jets belonging to a local Wichita company that manages corporate aircraft. 3R Mechanical � nished the project on schedule.

Jarrett also took advantage of one of Viega’s unique services, design support.

“The design team pretty much � gured out the square footage for me and ordered it,” Jarrett said. “They came down and got us started on the installation. We didn’t have any trouble at all.”

Jarrett and 3R Mechanical have installed Viega ProPress® systems before but this was their � rst experience with a Viega radiant system. Jarrett shared that he had previous experience with

conventional radiant heating installation methods and Viega insulated panels were a signi� cant improvement.

“The installation process is just easier,” Jarrett said. “And it performed well.”
