Success! A special shout-out to our students who are maximizing their

engagement on Seesaw and completing their activities! Our

teachers are receiving significant amounts of 'likes' on their posted

activities by other teachers both in and outside of our district. Our

parent visits to Seesaw exceed the number of students enrolled

proving that parents are actively involved in their children's

learning!

During Distance Learning, this partnership in learning is essential.

The Reopening Committee will be meeting on October 6th to discuss

the current state of positivity of Covid-19 cases in Anaheim. Data from

the Orange County Health Care Agency and the Governor's guidelines

are used to inform the Committee. The recommendations from the

discussion will be brought to the AESD Board on October 14th for

exploration. The Board Meeting can be viewed on YouTube Channel:

Anaheim Elementary School District in partnershipwith ALTRUSA and the Anaheim Public Librarysponsor a Creative Writing Contest each year for 4thgrade. This year's topic was 'What is Important to Me'.

Over 80 students submitted an essay of which 3finalists were selected. Our judges were impressed withthe quality and topics of the essays. CongratulationsKeanu Jordan on your First Place essay! We lookforward to celebrating your achievement at futurevirtual event with the community.

Our partnership supporting students in school is an essential

component to student success. We will not be fundraising

through the usual methods during Distance Learning. Please
