Fluid Level Analyser (FLA)The IKM Fluid Level Analyser (FLA) accurately determines fluid level. The main components of the wireless FLA are a hand-held tablet, gas gun, and powerful diagnostic software. The software allows data to be exported and processed in any Windows based tablet or computer, allowing ease of access, manual analysis and reporting. The hardware is intrinsically safe and ATEX certified.
The FLA operation is initiated by a gas gun generating a pressure pulse down the annulus or tubing of the well. As it travels down the well, the pressure pulse echoes from the completion architecture and the fluid. These echoes are detected by an internal microphone within the gas gun and recorded by the FLA handheld tablet. The FLA determines fluid levels automatically and shows it on the tablet display.
Additionally, a built-in pressure sensor can be used to record the surface casing pressure and pressure build-up. Accordingly, the FLA automatically calculates the gas flow rate and gas content in the liquid column. A further use is the static bottom hole pressure using the pressure sensor.
