Heritage Conservation
HERITAGE• The Taj Mahal Palace is one of the
landmark heritage structures of Mumbai, with a rich history.
• The iconic hotel was subjected to the brutal terrorist attack on the 26/11/2008.
• Structwel did entire heritage conservation and structural retrofitting of the structure damaged due to fire and bomb blast.

HERITAGE• This is a World Heritage Building. It is
the Head Quarters of the Central Railway.
• It is a 1.76 lakh Sq.ft. building. This Gothic architecture monument built in 1888 is an aesthetic splendor and the most important landmark of the city of Mumbai.

• The structure has Muslim - Indian Architectural features based on 16th Century Gujarati styles of architecture.
• Now remembered as the point from which the last British troops left India

HERITAGE• Pune University Main building was
originally summer residence of Governor of Bombay, during the British Raj. The structure was built in 1864 and is a typical example of colonial architecture.
• This is a load bearing structure with composite masonry and comprises of huge articulately decorated meeting halls.
• Unique features are its grandeur and a tower block.
• The work on restoration including the interior furnishing is in final stages of execution.
• Project Cost – INR 20 Crores

• STRUCTWEL provided EPC services for Heritage Conservation of this 2 Lac sq.ft. monumental palace in Morvi, Gujarat.
• Wagh Mandir, erstwhile called Mani Mandir is a stunning piece of Temple & Hindu Palace Architecture and is situated in the courtyard of Wellington Secretariat in Morvi.
• Built in 1935, the magnificent structure took shape in Golden Yellow sand Stone.
• The Palace was extensively damaged in the earthquake of 2001
• This conservation project received multiple National and International Awards.
• Project Cost – INR 17 Crores
• Status – Completed in 2015

• The palace complex comprises of several structures totaling to 1,50,000 sq.ft. constructed around 100 years back.
• Retrofitting and repairs of this complex damaged by severe earthquake was undertaken to restore the structural elements.

• The structure has a blend French, Mogul and Hindu Palace styles of architecture, which was bought back to original shape through intricate study, meticulous detailing and laborious inputs from skilled artisans
• Project Cost – INR 5 Crores
• Status – Completed in 2002
HERITAGE• Restoration and Strengthening of this
structure over 200 year old constructed in Moghul style of architectural was conducted.
• The damages mainly to the wooden member were related age and neglect. The intricate interior details of the damage were viewed and detected by innovative use of endoscopy and endoscopic photographs.
• The structure was strengthened for adaptive use as a hotel
• Project Cost – INR 8 Crores

• The structure had enormous damage and accumulated maintenance. The structure has been restored for old age related damage and the work has been completed.

HERITAGE• Mumbai House of Maharaja of Bikaner,
was acquired by BMC and later converted into official residence of Mayor of Mumbai.
• Built in 1920's, this is a typical example of oriental style of architecture with arched doors and windows and an ornate portico. The structure has load bearing walls and pitched roof, complete with intricate stone artwork in the elevations
• The conservation project included structural strengthening of the bungalow without causing any harm to the heritage features. The work was completed in 2005.

• All the external features were developed by developing innovative technology to match the original looks.
• Works carried out were Structural repairs to stone masonry, arches, wooden and steel joists flooring. Conservation of stone masonry. Revamping Mangalore tiled roof. Overhauling of storm water drainage system.

• Located in Canacona, South Goa, the Cabo-da-Rama fort presents a desolate spectacle of crumbling ruins unlike the forts.
Cabo –de –Rama, predates the Portuguese invasion of Goa. Possession changed hands many a time as dynasties fell & rose during the ages. Portuguese claimed the fort in 1763 after defeating Raja of Scoonda & renovated it.

HERITAGE• Siddhesvara & Mahadev Mandir, are
the two Kalyani Chalukya temples outof four from village Hottal, located onthe western side of the village. Thesetemples are constructed after thearchitectural style of later period ofKalyani Chalukya. Both temples hadcommon prakar wall around. Both thetemples were constructed in the lasthalf of the 11th century.
