He is the author of four books and has been bestowed with many awards and honors

Special Recognition Award for Leadership Role in the Concrete Industry in India by CANMET / ACI, 1994.

ACI, USA awarded ACI Honorary Membership, 2004. First Asian to receive this award.

REPAIRS & HERITAGE• RIL refinery at Jamnagar, Gujarat is

one of the largest refineries in the world.

• Structwel was involved in conducting a structural audit for various plants of the refinery which include plants like R.T.F, CPP, OSBL, Hydrogen Plant,Polypropylene, Hydrotrester, Coker plant, Aromatics, Sulphur Plant, PP plant, Crude I & II and FCCU including PRU.

• The Cooling Tower is 130 m tall with diameter of 118 m at plinth level, 90 m at top level and 70 m at neck level.

• The chimney is 130 m tall with diameter of 9 m at bottom level and 4.5m at top level.

• The total built up area of Vashi Complex is 83,237 sq. m accommodating 6 towers of G+7 storeys.

• The total built up area of Belapur complex is 1,37,650 sq. m accommodating 10 towers of G+7 storeys.

• Structwel’s services were hired for conducting Structural Audits of building structures and Condition Assessment of Electrical and Fire Fighting network along with 37 lifts.


• Status – Structural Audits & BOQs are completed. Repairs are in progress.

Mass Rapid transit rail network of India, was commissioned partly in October, 1984 and finally in February, 1995.

• Construction of tunnels was done with ‘Cut and Cover’ method.

• The rail network from Dum Dum to Tollygunge is around 17 km with 17 stops.

• Structwel was hired to conduct Condition Assessment along with Non-destructive Testing.

• The iconic hotel was subjected to the brutal terrorist attack on the 26/11/2008.

• Structwel did entire heritage conservation and structural retrofitting of the structure damaged due to fire and bomb blast.

masonry palace was under use by the state government until it was destroyed beyond repairs in the Gujarat Earthquake of 2001.

• The Palace occupies an area of approximately 2 Lakh Sq. ft. with a massive temple in its front courtyard. It has a height of up to 40’ and the temple Shikar top reaches beyond 150’.

• Structwel was appointed as an Architectural and Engineering Consultants for the Project with the mandate to restore and retrofit the entire structure.

• The buildings were constructed in the time span of 6 years starting from 2012 till 2018.

• SMKC appointed Structwel to conduct Structural Audit at pre-occupancy stage to confirm as built structures as specified.

• The assignment was carried out along with various Non-destructive testing and design review on sample basis.

structure over 200 year old constructed in Moghul style of architectural was conducted.

• The damages mainly to the wooden member were related age and neglect. The intricate interior details of the damage were viewed and detected by innovative use of endoscopy and endoscopic photographs.

• The structure was strengthened for adaptive use as a hotel
