INSTITUTE ACTIVITIES
TRAINING AND PLACEMENT
The Training and Placement cell organized an online campus interview for current
final year students of Electrical Engineering Department in association with Torrent
Power Ltd. Surat on 4th May, 2021 and 37students participated in this campus
interview. It also organized an online campus drive for current final year students of
Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering Departments in association
with Innovesource Services Pvt Ltd. (Adani Group), L & T Defence – Hazira, Asahi
India Glass Ltd – Patan, Essel Propack Limited- Vapi, Meril life science – Vapi, TATA
Autocomp system ltd – Sanad, Godrej Industries Ltd. Valia, Pidilite Industries Vapi in
the month of June 2021 and around 100+students are participated in this drive. The
events were planned and coordinated by Mr. Manish R. Nasit, Training and
Placement Officer.
YOGA DAY CELEBRATIONS
The institute organized Yoga sessions on the occasion of the seventh International
Day of Yoga on 21st June 2021. This year the theme of the yoga day is ‘Yoga for
wellness’ emphasizing the significance of Yoga for physical and mental wellbeing.
Every year the faculty members and students of the institute come together and do
Yoga, but this year the celebrations were scaled down due to the corona virus
pandemic. The institute avoided the mass session and arranged Yoga sessions at
departmental level. All the departments organized sessions from 11.30 a.m. to 12.30
p.m. for the faculty and staff members to perform various asanas and practice Yoga.
The students joined in the celebration on online platform. A faculty member from
each department guided the audience in performing sitting and standing asanas and
explained their importance simultaneously. The activity stressed that yoga has an

impact on the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of the being which is of great
help in the present scenario. The celebration was a motivation to everyone to
practice Yoga daily which can promote the holistic health of individuals amid the
pandemic.

TREE PLANTATION PROGRAMME Mr. Kiran C. Patel, Lecturer in Civil Engineering Department, organized a tree
plantation programme at the institute on 28th June 2021. Shri Chirag Bulsara, a
member of the NGO Mahalakshmi Mitra Mandal, associated with the programme
and brought along a team for plantation and saplings of various trees. Principal C. H.
Bhatt, faculty members and the team from MMG NGO planted many saplings in the
college campus.

ACPDC AWARENESS PROGRAM
An online Awareness Program for admission into Diploma Engineering was
organized by General Department on 24th June 2021 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Mr.
B. R. Patel and Dr. R. R. Panchal, lecturers from General Department presented the
program. The program was guided by Head, General Department and the Principal
of the institute.

The main purpose of this program was to aware the students towards the online
admission process for the Diploma studies. The program made the students
understand the process of registration and given instructions for online admission.
Detailed information about our institute, the branches and all the facilities available
was also provided to the students. 210 students benefitted from the program
making it a great success.

Plastic Engineering
The Plastic Engineering Department placed 52 students of 5th semester for 6 month Industrial Training -I in various well known plastic industries which commenced from 15.06.2021:

Stipend of 7000 Rs per month is being paid to trainee students during this
training as per apprenticeship act. ACTIVITIES OF FACULTY MEMBERS
Mr Harshal B Sharma and Mr Bhavesh P Golakiya, Lecturers, Electrical department, have taken online training on “Current Trends of Power Electronics Application in Electrical Vehicles” organized by Government Engineering college, Valsad under ATAL Academy from 7th to 11th June 2021. Mr Shyamal D Choksi, Lecturer, Electrical Engineering Department have taken online training of Induction Programme Phase II, organized by NITTTR, Bhopal from 21st June to 2nd July 2021.
