On this second Sunday following
Pentecost, we celebrate the most Holy
Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi).
It is interesting that the gospel selection for
today’s feast is the multiplication of loaves
and fish, instead of an account from the
Last Supper. By using the only miracle that
occurs in all four gospels, the sacramental
theologians send an important message
about the Eucharist.
Just as Jesus fed the multitude with
simple elements and met their needs, so he
does with us in the Eucharist. Today’s
celebration is a reminder that the central
point of our Sacramental life, while simple
in nature, will give us all the grace we need
-Jesus himself. All we have to do is take
advantage of this opportunity!

En este segundo domingo después de
Pentecostés, celebramos el Santísimo Cuerpo
y Sangre de Cristo (Corpus Christi). Es
interesante que la selección del evangelio para
la fiesta de hoy sea la multiplicación de los
panes y los peces, en lugar de un relato de la
Última Cena. Al usar el único milagro que
ocurre en los cuatro evangelios, los teólogos
sacramentales envían un mensaje importante
acerca de la Eucaristía.
Así como Jesús alimentó a la multitud
con elementos simples y satisfizo sus
necesidades, así lo hace con nosotros en la
Eucaristía. La celebración de hoy es un
recordatorio de que el punto central de nuestra
vida sacramental, aunque simple en
naturaleza, nos dará toda la gracia que
necesitamos: el mismo Jesús. ¡Todo lo que
tenemos que hacer es aprovechar esta
oportunidad!

MASS TIME CHANGE IN NAMPA Beginning July 1, St. Paul’s will no longer offer a Sunday 5:00pm Mass. This was decided considering the upcoming changes in priest personnel and after evaluating the number of Masses being offered. All other Mass times
remain the same. Thank you for being understanding and accommodating.

Altar Server Training for current and new altar servers on Saturday, June 29, at 10:00am. We would like existing altar servers to attend. New servers must attend before they will be
scheduled. We would be very happy to have the help and service of any young persons willing to serve the Lord at the Holy Mass. (You must have already received First Communion to be altar servers.) Thank you for saying “Yes!” to this service!!!

Nos gustaría que los monaguillos que ya están sirviendo asistan y tambien los monaguillos nuevos deben asistir a este entrenamiento antes de que se programen. Estaríamos muy felices de contar con la ayuda y el servicio de cualquier joven que esté dispuesto a servir al Señor en la Santa Misa.(Ya deben haber recibido la primera comunión para servir de monaguillos.)
