In Today’s gospel, Jesus addresses the
“great crowds” following him. He places
before them the reality that being his
disciple will not be easy. Although they
have seen his miracles, he does not want
them (or us) to follow him blindly.
Following Jesus is more than waiting for
the next miracle to occur.
As Jesus proclaims, we have to peer
into the depths of our being to decide if we
are going to follow him, or not. Miracles
are few and far between; sufferings are
many and often. Jesus is up front with us:
there is no fine print, nor hidden
disclaimer. He has walked the walk.
He invites us to do the same.

Coloca ante ellos la realidad que ser su

sus milagros, e l no quiere que ellos (o
nosotros) lo sigamos ciegamente. Seguir a
Jesu s es ma s que esperar que ocurra el
pro ximo milagro.
Como Jesu s proclama, debemos mirar
en lo ma s profundo de nuestro ser para
decidir si vamos a seguirlo o no. Los
milagros son pocos y distantes entre sí ;
Los sufrimientos son muchos con
frecuencia. Jesu s esta al frente con
nosotros: no hay letra pequen a, ni
desenpen o de responsabilidad oculto. E l
ha caminado el camino. Nos invita a hacer
lo mismo.
Misa en el Colegio de Idaho se celebrará los martes durante el semestre de otoño. La primera misa en la capilla, junto al Auditorio Jewitt, será el 10 de septiembre a las 11:30 a.m. Todos están invitados.
Mass at the College of Idaho - will be celebrated on Tuesdays for the fall semester. The first Mass in the chapel, next to the Jewitt Auditorium, will be September 10th, at 11:30am. All are welcome.
Religious Education classes for children and youth begins next Sunday, Sept. 15th.

Youth and Children’s Ministry
Classes Begin Next Week!
Religious Education does not end with Sacramental Prep.
STAY WITH US! Registration is open through the end of
September for all children and youth in grades pre-K
through 12th! Come by the parish office to register.
HELP NEEDED We need YOU for our Core Teams to serve
our middle schoolers and high schoolers.
Can you commit a couple hours a week?
Contact our parish office to get involved.
VOLUNTEERS: Don’t Miss Teacher and
Safe Environment Training
Catechists for Youth and Children’s Ministry are invited to join us
for teacher training on Sunday, Sept. 8th from 10am-11am or on
Wednesday, Sept. 11th from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.
All volunteers working with minors will need Safe Environment
Training. If you have not taken the class, you are required to
attend a face-to-face session. If you have taken the class, you may
renew your training online annually. Safe Environment Training
will be held on Sunday, Sept. 8th from 11am-12pm and
Wednesday, Sept. 11th (from 6:30pm-7:30pm). To confirm your
training status, please call the parish office.

con nosotros! La registración para niños y jóvenes en los gra-
dos pre-K-12 esta abierta hasta el 29 de septiembre.

Entrenamiento Para Instructores
Ó la Clase de Ambiente Seguro
Catequistas del ministerio de jóvenes y niños son invitados a
asistir una clase de entrenamiento el domingo, 8 de Sept.
(10am-11am) ó el miercoles, 11 de Sept. (5:30pm-6:30pm).
Voluntarios trabajando con menores necesitarán asistir una clase
de Ambiente Seguro en persona si no han tomado la clase
previamente. Si han tomado la clase, pueden tomarla en linea
anualmente. La clase en persona sera el domingo, 8 de Sept.
(11am-12pm) ó el miércoles, 11 de Sept. (6:30pm-7:30pm). Llame
a la oficina si require información de su estatus.

Barron is also the founder of Word on Fire Catholic
Ministries. This a 20 week course starting September
10 at 7 pm Every Tuesday evening at OLV. (We will
take off Thanksgiving through the New Year -starting
up again January 7 until all 20 courses are finished)

Save the date: International Dinner on Sat-urday, October 5. Dinner from 5:15-8:00 pm Silent Auction: 5:15 to 7:00 pm. in the John Paul Room. Everybody is welcome. Please support this wonderful event. All proceeds stay in our community. The Silent Auction Committee working on the International Dinner is looking for a few nice items that parishioners would like to donate. Fatima Rosary: Mary has a “Peace Plan from Heaven.” In each of the six appearances at Fatima, she asked for the daily Rosary. Come learn more at the bilingual Rosary Processions. Feel free to bring a flower to honor Mary. Meet in the Narthex on Friday, September 13th, at 7pm.
