Aluminium versus Steel

Aluminium cylinders, whileoffering the most lightweightsolution, also have some unique

limitations due to material properties. Itdiffers from steel in that it has a lowerfinite fatigue life. Aluminium cylindersshould NOT be used in high-cycleapplications such as production.These cylinders are designed to provide5000 cycles at their recommendedpressure. This limit should not beexceeded. In normal lifting and manymaintenance applications, this shouldprovide a lifetime of use.

Aluminium cylinders, whileoffering the most lightweightsolution, also have some

unique limitations due to materialproperties. It differs from steel in thatit has a lower finite fatigue life.Aluminium cylinders should NOT beused in high-cycle applications suchas production.

These cylinders are designed toprovide 5000 cycles at theirrecommended pressure. This limitshould not be exceeded. In normallifting and many maintenanceapplications, this should provide alifetime of use.
